This message board seems to have an amazingly international membership. I'm not sure if this has been done yet, but I'm curious to know what countries people are from. It's been done, at least as a part of a census questionnaire (I'm a bit lost for words) thingy. But should be interesting enough to see a nice bar chart on the subject. Now, if only enough people would vote. From what I gather, we have quite a large portion of Finns here, perhaps the largest amount after the English-speaking countries. Also, this might give some insight on the different nationalities. Posts: 353 | Registered: Monday, January 9 2006 08:00 |

There are definitely multiple spidwebbers from some of the countries that aren't listed (like France). Whereas several of the listed "countries" are not going to produce useful data... -------------------- Slarty vs. Desk • Desk vs. Slarty • Timeline of Ermarian • G4 Strategy Central Posts: 3560 | Registered: Wednesday, November 7 2001 08:00 |

I knew I would forget some, but I couldn't think of any others. I am aware that the Netherlands is a seperate country, I just didn't realize that anyone on this board was Dutch. I appear to be among the lucky few whose country made the list. You forgot Poland, however. Seriously, dude, Mongolia and Vatican City qualify, but France doesn't? Why not Pitcairn? I heard there were a few guys with internet there. You really need to spend some time in a basic Geography course. So do I, apparently, because I didn't even know there was a country named "Lesotho". Edit: Rather than just complain about an incompetently done poll, I'd point out this alternative. I'm sorry for upsetting your sensibilities, Arancaytar. I feared that my incomplete list would upset someone. But I could hardly include all 200 countries or so. I included every country I was aware of spiderwebbers being from. So far only two people have listed other in the poll, so I didn't do too bad. On another note, please do not impugn my geography skills. The lack of a countries inclusion is not an implication that I am ignorant of the said countries existence. Rather, it means that I was unaware of any SW members in those fine nations. I apologized to our Dutch and Israeli members for not listing their homelands already. Hopefully, I'm misreading your post, but you seem rather mad. This was merely a meant as a semi-informative, yet humorous poll. If the inclusion of Azerbaijan, Lesotho, Mongolia, and Vatican City were not enough to give that away, I thought that the inclusion of California as an independent nation, and the listing of floating platforms, outer space, and France in the other category would have made it abundantly evident. My apologies. -------------------- "As our circle of knowledge expands, so does the circumference of darkness surrounding it." --Albert Einstein -------------------- Posts: 536 | Registered: Sunday, September 7 2003 07:00 |
