Because this idea deserves its own thread. TM is Uranium. Capable of immense amounts of energy. Harmful to be around. Difficult to dispose of safely. Heavy. Stareye is some kind of noble gas, possibly Argon. Marlenny is Chlorine. Because everyone wants to bond with her. EDIT:Gizmo takes the idea and runs with it... Ed was Francium. The most unstable element in the first 101 on the Periodic Table. I am Molybdenum (Mo [my real name] on the periodic table). Also, since I am Element No. 42, I am the "Answer to Life, the Universe, and everything" :P -------------------- "When everything is coming your way, you're in the wrong lane." Alorael can be Nitrogen. Everpresent and non-essential. :P -------------------- SupaNik: Aran, you're not big enough to threaten Ash. Dammit, even JV had to think twice. Posts: 1861 | Registered: Friday, February 11 2005 08:00 |

And prone to odd configurations. Jeff strikes me as oxygen. Necessary for Spiderweb life, but also necessary for Spiderweb flames. The Creator is a diatomic molecule that combusts into carbon and ash. —Alorael, who would rather think of himself as helium. This is because he is noble, aloof, and largely inert. He can also be inhaled for entertainment value. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

I own a tin foil suit, and I'm aluminum... it's extremely reflective, flashy and found in tacky products everywhere. It insulates itself from the external world using a layer of oxygen. And it tends to cause pointless linguistic flamewars. -------------------- Slarty vs. Desk • Desk vs. Slarty • Timeline of Ermarian • G4 Strategy Central Posts: 3560 | Registered: Wednesday, November 7 2001 08:00 |

I'd say I'm Xenon, because it's a noble gas that's pretty self-contained and doesn't bond to anything, except for in specific instances, even though it's been around for ever. It's atomic weight is also only about 6 pounds under mine. It looks good under a microscope too! -------------------- Frisbeetarianism is the belief that when you die, your soul goes up on the roof and gets stuck. I call neon. I'm unemotional, just like neon is cold and inert, and not much of a threat. Orange is my favorite color and I also attract attention sometimes. Dikiyoba is disappointed that "Dikiyoba" cannot be spelled out using symbols from the periodic table of elements. Dikiyoba's real name can be. You once posed the question: "How do you know Dikiyoba is not Dikiyoba's real name?" Well, that's how. -------------------- Slarty vs. Desk • Desk vs. Slarty • Timeline of Ermarian • G4 Strategy Central Posts: 3560 | Registered: Wednesday, November 7 2001 08:00 |

I forget how many models we have tried to apply to the Spiderweb forums to - a reality show, a large family, now the periodic table? As for defining me, I'm open to suggestions, seeing as one can always be characterized most accurately by other people. -------------------- Encyclopaedia Ermariana • Forum Archives • Forum Statistics • RSS [Topic / Forum] My Blog • Polaris • I eat novels for breakfast. The element of Fluorine should be assigned to all of the particularly annoying noobs that spiderweb has had to endure, as it's poisonous, not very useful, and when exposed to other elements, reacts in unusual ways. Also, congratulations to Drew for his 1337th post. Posts: 11 | Registered: Monday, March 13 2006 08:00 |

I came up with iridium. I am highly resistant to corrosion, unbelievably dense, non-toxic when I'm on my own but extremely toxic when bonded in a group. Oh, and people blame me for killing the dinosaurs. Einsteinium sounds cool, but almost as pretentious as the above "Gold" claim. On second thought, Osmium. Even more dense, but on occasion very bright, used for all kinds of things, but very toxic, and if I forget to shower even for a single day, you really don't want to know what I smell like. If Kel is Sodium, then I vote Thralni is Potassium. Which actually kind of works anyway. -------------------- Slarty vs. Desk • Desk vs. Slarty • Timeline of Ermarian • G4 Strategy Central Posts: 3560 | Registered: Wednesday, November 7 2001 08:00 |

Actually, if you compare Spiderweb to water, then both Thralni and Kel would cause quite a ruckus in their pure states. Neither of them are particularly explosive however, so that comparison doesn't really work. -------------------- Encyclopaedia Ermariana • Forum Archives • Forum Statistics • RSS [Topic / Forum] My Blog • Polaris • I eat novels for breakfast. If spiderweb was water, then we wouldn't have many flames, would we... I don't think that works. The Sodium-Potassium balance is just so fitting for them. -------------------- Slarty vs. Desk • Desk vs. Slarty • Timeline of Ermarian • G4 Strategy Central Posts: 3560 | Registered: Wednesday, November 7 2001 08:00 |

So many people claiming dangerous substances... And I thought that Alkali and Halogens would be assigned to trolls and counter-flamers/one-liner-masters. (Either group can be damaging to living organisms and their combination is quite explosive.) RW is obviously Ununoctium, a mysterious element that had not have been discovered a couple years ago, but perhaps will have been discovered then a few years later. EDIT: About Spidweb being water, most Alkali metals react quite violently with water, so that would just be more reason to put flamers into that group. If Spiderweb is water, then what liquids do the various satellites represent?
