Yes, why limit your games to such a tiny screen... I don't see why anyone with a laptop would need such a gadget. I have to imagine that the laptop and PSP constituencies have little overlap. It's not about needing, he probably just wants to. It's understandable; I, for one, know that when you have to ride the Subway for hours, it tends to get a bit boring. Internet, in this case, would be very helpful. Anyhow, we don't have access to the Internet when we're in the subway in NY either. However, if you live in NY you probably shouldn't be using your laptop while in the subway. To stay on topic, I don't owe a PSP, mostly because I'm not going to waste 300 bucks on something I'll barely use. The technology is outdated, and not to mention, it is compatable virtually nothing else... All it is, is rich people trying to get richer...
