There are many variations of that type of artillery game. They range from the primitive past to some rather modern and bizarre 3D reincarnations. —Alorael, who doesn't approve. That's like making Tetris 3D. Sure, it may seem fun, but it's blasphemous! Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

Wow. It's been fourteen years since I played that game, but I instantly recognized it from the description. -------------------- Encyclopaedia Ermariana • Forum Archives • Forum Statistics • RSS [Topic / Forum] My Blog • Polaris • I eat novels for breakfast. Fourteen? Aren't you 18 or 19? I don't think I even knew what a computer game was until I was 7 or 8... -------------------- And though the musicians would die, the music would live on in the imaginations of all who heard it. -The Last Pendragon Polaris = joy. I much enjoyed the old QBasic version of Gorillas. I particularly liked the way that in the version I have, if you throw a banana with a velocity of 360, it skips significantly, and so can be used to cut through buildings much more quickly. I think that Gorillas was the first computer game I ever played, with Number Munchers being second. -------------------- Überraschung des Dosenöffners! "On guard, you musty sofa!" But I did guess systematically how far and how high to shoot the banana. :nods: -------------------- Encyclopaedia Ermariana • Forum Archives • Forum Statistics • RSS [Topic / Forum] My Blog • Polaris • I eat novels for breakfast. Oh my God! I remember this game! Ah the good old days of my childhood when computers were command-line, and people still programmed in BASIC on a regular basis. -------------------- "You're drinking liquor because you're thirsty? quote:Ouch. I was 14 before I realised that by applying a little logic to it my rocket/banana/random projectile would be more accurate. Before then, I played using a complex system of guessing numbers... I did get chess at an early age though - I learned to play at 6. Edit: Wrong bracket in quotation. I don't want to be arrogant or something, no reallt, I don't, but when I was three (or four, i can't really remember) I almost managed to beat the Dark knight in dark castle. I was really adicted to that game. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. Give us your drek! Maybe it sounds a bit odd or arrogant (or something else), but the first game I ever played was E3. EDIT: Such earlier strategy games are cool too.   [ Monday, December 12, 2005 11:08: Message edited by: Slith Lord ] -------------------- You know, why the Sliths are green - because of their scales. Maybe you know why some slith eyes were once red - ´cause the demons, which led them were red. But why are the eyes of the Slith Lord Followers red? Because they see the remains of their enemies always before the battle begins! Posts: 179 | Registered: Friday, November 25 2005 08:00 |
