I also have a media conversion question. http://psp.weebls-stuff.com/ has several videos I wish to play on the Tapwave Zodiac. However, the audio codec is AAC, which it will not play. Also, my video encoder (ffmpegx) is incapable of reincoding the audio as MP3, and Macs have too few free encoders for me to want to try and find another. I can play it on my Mac just fine, that's not a problem. However, I want to play it on the Tapwave Zodiac. If you got ModPlug Tracker, you can convert MOD files like the BGM files from the Exile trilogy. I converted them to MP3, try them. :) EDIT: URL did not work. Trying to fix a better host. As a rule, you can't convert mp3 to midi in any simple/reliable way. I know some of the programs linked to above and they can't do it, and I'm reasonably sure the others can't either. Midi is a format that saves music scores, while mp3 saves the sound itself. Converting mp3 to midi is the equivalent of converting an image to text. There are few tools that can do it, still less that can do it reliably, and probably next to none that are free. It is possible to convert midi to mp3, however. What surprises me is that you have found a free converter that can actually convert any length of sound to midi, even fifteen seconds. What is the quality?
