Might I add that if you can identify all of these, you are beyond saving. [ Sunday, June 19, 2005 07:02: Message edited by: Marx' Martyr ] -------------------- 人 た ち を 燃 え る た め に 俺 は か れ ら に 火 を 上 げ る か ら 死 ん だ Posts: 6936 | Registered: Tuesday, September 18 2001 07:00 |

The sad thing is, I got most of TM's. #1 - The main girl of Narutaru, riding on Hoshimaru #2 - Edward Elric, from FMA #3 - Some dead girl. Whoops. Didn't get this one. #4 - Ebichu. x_x #5 - A red X. Didn't get this one, but TM failed it anyway. #6 - That thing from Azumanga Daioh. #7 - PenPen, from NGE #8 - ...no idea. Whoops. For Khoth, um... No idea for the first bunch, then Yomiko Readman of Read or Die and Kino of Kino no Tabi. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

The last one in TM's post was from Samurai Champloo. I have seen the anime in Khoth's second image but I do not remember its name, I belive it was made by CLAMP. I am lost... EDIT: I found it, the second one was Tsubasa by CLAMP. It was mentioned beneath this post but whatever... It sucks, not to mention is ****. All of it. What particularly annoys me is how the 'artists' think they can get away with drawing 'artistically' without considering every commonly accepted physical law we know about the universe. (FYI, people have chins. These are strong, caused by the physical strength of bone. These bones do not collapse when one attempts to speak. Eyes do not have the capacity to turn into nothing but an outline when previously having occupied more amounts of face than is realistic.) Onto comics: A great way of telling if a comic is crap, is by if it's colour in every episode. If it's not, the author probably puts more time into decent humour than whatever semi-anime artistic crap he draws every day. I haven't seen every webcomic in existance, so this may not be 100% effective but it works for everything I've seen so far. When it comes to comics, apparently flashy (= ****ty) graphics are just to cover up the lack of any sense, plot, unique plot, or otherwise, the excessive cheesiness of the plot, unique plot, and/or sense. See Dilbert, Foxtrot, Calvin and Hobbes, User Friendly. -------------------- Inconsistently backward. SWOH. IM, PATF, ND. Posts: 612 | Registered: Saturday, October 13 2001 07:00 |

Another classic is Vampire Hunter D. Trigun was also fun, though the plot seemed to me to be straight out of Wildarms. Posts: 2242 | Registered: Saturday, April 10 2004 07:00 |

Here are a few worth seeing Vampire Hunter D, Wings of Honnemaise, La Puta Castle in The Sky, and The Castle Cagliostro. Howl's Moving Castle just came out in the theater. It is based on the novel by Dianna Wynne Jones. It should be a lot of fun. I am going to wait for it to go to video. I am cheap. :P [ Monday, June 20, 2005 11:32: Message edited by: I'll Steal Your Toast ] -------------------- Wasting your time and mine looking for a good laugh. I'm not really sure whether UA's giving those links as examples of good or bad works, but I've never yet had good cause to overestimate his intelligence, and the list includes Dilbert and User Friendly, so I'll assume he's a fan of them. I shouldn't need to point out how this tears his own argument apart, but in addition the argument that indifferent or bad art makes a good comic strip is of exactly the calibre that I expect UA to produce. If this is your internet, UA, then you have a lot to answer for. -------------------- Voice of Reasonable Morality Posts: 961 | Registered: Thursday, June 12 2003 07:00 |

Yeah, generally my opinions don't make sense. And I've already answered to many things on the internet, like my incredibly destructive 'management' skills. -------------------- Inconsistently backward. SWOH. IM, PATF, ND. Posts: 612 | Registered: Saturday, October 13 2001 07:00 |
