I've had a Blades page for a few months now, but unfortunately, it's been operating under the sad, wimpy title of "Kelandon's Web Page." While KWP has a certain, er, simple charm to it, it doesn't have the oomph of powerhouse Blades pages, like the Lyceum, or the Blazing Blade, or TMU, or even Drakey's page which I will not spell at the current moment. I've tried to come up with something, but I just don't have any good ideas for this. I can't alliterate, because that would give me KKK, and that would be bad. I don't know of anything Latin or Greek that seems appropriate. I just have nothing. So now, I appeal to you. Announcing the Name Kelandon's Web Page Contest! Winner gets a spiffy prize! That is, um, as soon as I think of one. Give me ideas for the name of my web page! If you want to see its content, just click on the link in my sig. Bonus points for anyone who uses the acronym KEL for their name. (Warning: spiffy prize may end up being my eternal gratefulness.) -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens. Go Simple: The Realm of Kelandon / Kelandon's Realm. Yes, I know, I'm the l'uomo universale, intelligent, good-looking, and always spilling out the words of wisdom. [EDIT:] Oh, and just so you know, the link to NK0P-windows is faulty. It links to the Mac-version instead. :P [ Wednesday, June 30, 2004 09:33: Message edited by: Tristrana ] -------------------- The Great Mister kommari@gmail.com Posts: 417 | Registered: Sunday, June 27 2004 07:00 |

Kelandon's Exile Land? No, too silly... An alliteration seems to be the custom. Drakefyre's Demesne, Stareye's Citadel, Archives of Akhronath. Kelandon's Catacombs? :) -------------------- The Encyclopaedia Ermariana <-- Now a Wiki! For the bonus points, I'd suggest (men) "Kelandon's Elysian Lea" On the other hand (de), plain old "Kelandon's Elysium," or just "Elysium" would be nice and Greek. No matter what, Greek or Latin are optimal. :) Posts: 2242 | Registered: Saturday, April 10 2004 07:00 |

Shoot. I'll fix that NK0P link when I get real Internet, which should hopefully be in a week. I'm assuming no one is dying to play NK0P, and if they are, just replacing the .sit ending with a .zip should get you the Windows version. This naming thing also will end a little after I get real Internet, which should be in about a week, so get cracking! I want brilliant suggestions! :P -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens. Just replace .sit with .zip? You know, it's not as if I hadn't tried that trick... nothing to be done, unfortunately. To get a Windows zip file, you have to actually convert it... -------------------- The Encyclopaedia Ermariana <-- Now a Wiki! No, the download, he meant. Copy the link location, change .sit to .zip, and it'll download the right one. -------------------- The Great Mister kommari@gmail.com Posts: 417 | Registered: Sunday, June 27 2004 07:00 |

HTML skills are pretty widely spread nowadays. Besides, it's more fun to do it yourself from scratch, isn't it? :D -------------------- The Encyclopaedia Ermariana <-- Now a Wiki! Kelandon's Exotic Locale and New Domain of Niftiness? —Alorael, who definitely thinks his name has a certain style. That last N needs a bit of work, though. "Niftiness" is not nifty. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

Even though Alorael's suggestion is super-cute, it's more likely to be revisited if you give it a max-two word name - I was thinking made up world names? Illusia, Audalis, Evanar? Not that I can talk, mine is the banal Rosy's BoE Page... but then it only has about twenty graphics... yeah, that little link in my sig is a good example of a boring page name... *plugs furiously* [ Wednesday, June 30, 2004 13:32: Message edited by: Rosycat 1.1 ] -------------------- fame fame fatal fame it can play hideous tricks on the brain Posts: 407 | Registered: Friday, May 14 2004 07:00 |

Now, now, don't be silly. Original names are always preferrable to used ones. Otherwise you could just as soon name it 'Desperance' and be done. -------------------- The Encyclopaedia Ermariana <-- Now a Wiki! Meh. Either I'm getting tired or someone (Imban?) used their magic jedi powers to delete Imban's post here. [ Wednesday, June 30, 2004 13:51: Message edited by: Arancaytar ] Posts: 8752 | Registered: Wednesday, May 14 2003 07:00 |
