Okay, here goes. No flaming, please. I've been noticing recently that some people have multiple accounts. This does not suprise me in the slightest. What does, however, is that I'm either going insane, or replies are doing SN switches without any edits. I had replied to what someone had said with the usual (name here): (message) format, but when I came back later, the name I had replied to was no longer there. http://www.ironycentral.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=10&t=000915#000008 That's the most recent one I've noticed. Check my third post for the inaccuracy. Everyone knows that Reality has multiple accounts. One of them is The Celestial Saggot, another The Flying Jellybean. The name kinda did a switch on me. Yeah, you have to go by member numbers, signatures, veterans' responses, and posting styles. There *are* a dreadful lot of accounts around though... almost 4000. I'm pretty sure less than 500 of those actually have made a post, and about 100 are active. I kept meaning to post when I first registered, but RL got in my way such that I only used the computer for school-related things for some months. Aah! Alorael has beaten me to the explanation of the disappearance of the invisible newbies. However there is a clutch of unused accounts that were made by Scorp when he was trying to vote his karma up, and certain other persons have found it amusing to run a second phantom account *cof*. Other people had to start a new account when their old ones were wiped by a mysterious bug... There are people who post diligently on the games forums who never risk appearing in the chaos of the general forums, and certin oldies who go away for long periods then come back again... or not... The funny thing is, I noticed that the number of registered members is lower than the highest member number. I'm currently the newest member, and you can see that my number is 3936, while the number of registered members is 3928. Any explanation for that? Sometime back, a board bug deleted the accounts of several members.
