Click the faq link in the upper right corner of this page. It'll answer 1 & 2. As for 3, Drakey is the only person with the title Triad Mage, AFAIK. -------------------- This is MY link. I heard that Jeff gives out "special titles" to some people. What are they? -------------------- There is no knowledge that is not power. Take a chance at the Chance Forums! Posts: 323 | Registered: Thursday, December 18 2003 08:00 |

Actually, it's Drakefyre who gives out most of the custom titles, not Jeff. Special titles are given to those who are, well, special. Usually they've done something for the SpidWeb community in order to have earned it or by some other means. Here are a few that I'm remembering from the top of my head: TM - Trademark BtI - This Side Towards the enemy... Djur - Babelicious Thyrul - ...b10010b... Schrodinger - FAQSELF *i - the establishment Saunders - La Canaliste I know Alec had one on his old account, but I don't know what it is. Please feel free to add to the list if you want to. -------------------- 73|-| 1|\|\/1|\|<1|3|_3 |30063y|\/|4|\| AHEM: Chance Forums! -Reality Corp. True. Syntyrael, if you want to find out that sort of information, go back and read thru some of the older topics in the General forum. With enough time, you'll find out more stuff than by asking questions in topics. Alec's was TRIAD MAGE BANNED, with a strike-through in each word. Also, Motrax has 'Senile Reptile'. EDIT: And The Creator is 'BoE Posse'. What does Thyruls and Bti's rankings mean? ('this side to the enemy' and '...b100b10...') -------------------- There is no knowledge that is not power. Take a chance at the Chance Forums! Posts: 323 | Registered: Thursday, December 18 2003 08:00 |

Again, it can be found somewhere in the General forum. But I believe that Thyrul was at one time banned, and when he came back, he didn't want the title to be "BANNED" So he got it changed to that. I think that is how the history of that title goes. And I really don't know yet about BtI's. -------------------- 73|-| 1|\|\/1|\|<1|3|_3 |30063y|\/|4|\| AHEM: Chance Forums! -Reality Corp. "This side toward the enemy" was the title of a Marathon level. It might be from that, but it's probably better just not to know the murky contents of Drakefyre's mind. If you have a title, don't ask. If you don't, be thankful. -------------------- Grammar wenches beware: This is the house that the malt that the rat that the cat that the dog that the cow that the maiden that the man that the priest that the cock that the farmer kept waked married kissed milked tossed worried killed ate lay in. quote:No, you're thinking of Motrax, whose title is now Senile Reptile (and the initiative in giving him the title was *i's, not Motrax's). I doubt I could get myself temporarily banned if I tried. I got my title on account of being a finite state machine (technically I'm not a Turing machine, because a Turing machine has to have infinite memory). And "This side toward enemy" is supposedly printed on the M-18 Claymore, a land mine that fires a spray of shrapnel in one direction. Actually the Claymores that I've seen just say "Toward Enemy" on the front side. They are also curved so that you can tell which side is which even in the darkness. Despite this directional wisdom, the back-blast from a Claymore is pretty fierce in its own right, so it usually has to be placed a significant distance away or against the base of a tree or rock to protect the good guys. Claymores were used widely during the Vietnam war and are more or less accepted as standard equipment for most armies nowadays, despite the fact that they are a horrible killing and maiming weapon that was at one point questioned as to compliance with the Geneva conventions (like anyone follows those nowadays anyway). I believe that it has also become standard practice with military-issue boots to include helpful pouring instructions on the heel. -------------------- This space intentionally left blank. I'm not the only one with BoE Posse. *i had it too before he became the Establishment. Alcritas and Brett Bixler (Void Master) have it as well, though they hardly ever post. Edit: Just remembered that I hardly ever post. [ Wednesday, December 31, 2003 03:22: Message edited by: The Creator ] -------------------- Win a free copy of Blades of Avernum! Drakey didn't get that title through posts, he got it because he's an admin. Same with the title blademaster. Mods have that title, if they don't have a custom one that covers it. -------------------- "... and approximately one sea turtle." Posts: 277 | Registered: Tuesday, August 13 2002 07:00 |

The "Canned" title comes from asking so many dumb questions, but your questions aren't nearly at that level. -------------------- "At times discretion should be thrown aside, and with the foolish we should play the fool." - Menander ==== Drakefyre's Demesne - Vahnatai Did Do It desperance.net - We're Everywhere The Arena - God Will Sort The Dead ==== You can take my Mac when you pry my cold, dead fingers off the mouse!
