I just killed that golem. It's an incredibly long fight but since it only uses aura of flames to attack drayks and drakons will wear it down. Helps to have something that can kill the drakon that appears a while into the fight though. You can't really join them since it's not much of an organization. But if you do what shorass(in kelekee bridges area in burwood) suggests you get their ending. Basically just sabotage the machinery in the final area a bit before you finish the game as a rebel. It's probably doable if you come there with the shapers too but I haven't tested since I'd have to load pretty far back to change one thing I did :) Posts: 26 | Registered: Wednesday, April 3 2002 08:00 |

Honestly, playing avernum 4 I think parts of it could do with a real-time system. Sometimes you just do the same trival fights again and again and AGAIN...I'd like to be able to burn through those fast. Not freeze the game completely like it works now. Alternative - half the amount of monsters in dungeons and outdoors, plus clump them up a bit. Posts: 26 | Registered: Wednesday, April 3 2002 08:00 |

To be honest I'd prefer it if most modules came with a sample party so I could play it the way the builder envisioned. I hate the do-it-yourself approach to balance...the builder knows the module a lot better than me after all. I don't get attached to my characters/items in any way. Maybe I'm weird :) Posts: 26 | Registered: Wednesday, April 3 2002 08:00 |
