Just to show that people still play this game,
I just discovered this game, and I love it. It reminds me of the days of playing these games on my dad's computer. (at the tender age of 7)

Just so people won't flame me for making a post for no reason, I'd like to know a couple of things.

1. Does anyone have a list of the ranks?

2. Does anyone know where I can find the solutions? The page linked to from the main site is broken.

Idea for realsing creations in Geneforge 4: Rebellion

I think many of these ideas could have great usages if their were more attack/defend scenerios. You could build stationary creations to help defend the town, or, if you're playing for the other side, you could let loose an army of rogue fyoras in the shaper capital or whatever. (Please let us see it, Jeff!)

P.S.
In the begining of GF4, it says that Dangerous creation are never made capable of reproducing.0

P.P.S.
That would be a good way to get free new creations... "Select Eyebeast 1. Option-Click Eyebeast 2. Select "Mate". *screen goes black* Enjoy your newly created Eyebeast!"

In related news, it has always bothered me that, assuming Geneforge takes place in our universe, the Law of Conservation of Matter is broken each time you Shape a new Creation. But Einstein's Relativity Theory does state that matter is energy. Therefore the Shaping process must consist of some fission in which energy (Essence from the Shaper's body) is transformed into matter, and the Absorbtion process must consist of fusion, in which mass is transformed back into energy. This is all well and good in theory, but keep in mind that fusion produces such rich energy that (according to Einstein) a two-pound brick, if spontaneously transformed into pure energy, would destroy our planet. So can it be that the Shapers are that powerful? Maybe Creations are weighed in amu ... or maybe I'm just not giving Jeff a chance.

Hooray.

I've always just assumed that shaping involves taking the component sub-atomic particles from the atmosphere and the surroundings and such, and forming them into creatures. Of course, doing this would be so unimaginably complicated that figuring out how to make a Fyora would take an immortal shaper and a considerably more generous 2nd Law of Thermodynamics, but hey, this is magic, right?

Sorry for the double post, but I just wrote a script for Samuel Stoddard's Fantasy Name Generator to generate Geneforge-ish names. The name generator allows you to write "templates" for names, so here's mine:

Copy the following into the 'Advanced Interface' text box, and click the button.
<B|>(a|e|i|o|u)<(r)(d|t|k|||)|(n)(d|t|k|||)|(l)(d|t|k|||)|(t|k)|(t|k)|(t|k)>v<C|>To generate more names, just go back and press the button again.

I'm not really that creative with my character names, (though this thread has inspired me to name my upcoming bullseye shaper more creatively.) but my creations are always named *blank* the *blank*, where both start with the same letter. IE: Freddy the Fyora, Charlie the Cryoa, Eddie the Eyebeast, Bobby the Battle Beta, etc.
