Hmm. Are you a guardian, Contra? Mentioning classes might help... I'm a Shaper, never played whole game through in any Geneforge with other classes yet. Posts: 12 | Registered: Friday, August 12 2005 07:00 |

Interesting. I wonder if it's a sort of easter egg meant to be there. Posts: 12 | Registered: Friday, August 12 2005 07:00 |

I am looking to see how people like to have their groups of creations like. Feel free to elaborate why you vote what you voted. I prefer to use stuff that is well worth the essence cost. You all know that some higher costing creations are just leveled up versions and have no benefits. Variety of creations is good... multiple damage types are good... always one weakness... Poison does full damage to those magi with 50% resist in everything else! Ranged I like. Get to strike quick, and easier to pursue. But they die more, due to weaker tanking capabilities. Fire... tough, strong... and ranged. No stunning can be an issue, but that's what daze is for... no? You guys ever notice when Orois Blaze is saying random thing like many people do in GF3, that he says "For the hoard!" I wonder if Jeff is a Warcraft fan... Posts: 12 | Registered: Friday, August 12 2005 07:00 |

Ah yes... it is best to look on walkthroughs and see what items you can make and make them, ASAP, if you won't replace them. I have about 3 luck myself, an Emerald Chestguard + Golden Crystal Enhance, Creator's Belt + golden Crystal enhance, Agent Cloak + golden crystal enhance, and blessed necklace, which really helps keep just about all my resistances at 75+... armor is 114%. Experiment with gem enhancement on artifacts you make and will use forever. PReplanning is the way to go IMHO. By the way, have you tried using strong daze when surrounded by enemies? It really makes the game much, much easier- and it's one of those really nice things that come along BEFORE you really need them, so you can actually appreciate it. (Darn lateness of the best creations...) Mass Madness might work too. [ Saturday, August 13, 2005 16:42: Message edited by: Wilowah ] Posts: 12 | Registered: Friday, August 12 2005 07:00 |

Oh, so it was just like this in the first and 2nd games too? (I didnt use them then since they had no accuracy bonus) It would be cool if they did have multiple attacks, though... especially with how Gazers and Drakons supposivley know more than just 1 or 2 attacks. I killed Khyryk before even touching foot on the Tower Path... and nothing is agressive to me, unless I go into the Drayk's nests. That, and the window that'd pop up to say something when I try to go into the Drayk nest is completely blank. I'm also a Rebel... is that a factor, or is this a bug? I'd like opinions and comments please... But don't rant on my topic please. Posts: 12 | Registered: Friday, August 12 2005 07:00 |

They don't cast terror anymore. They're just the only ranged poisoning and poison damager in the game. Not that this is a bad thing. Terror might make enemies you want to be killed run away at last HP. I only made them since I wanted a variety of damage types... (quite a nice feature for GF3, IMHO.) Also, Drayks don't have their +90 accuracy bonus anymore, or so it seems. Anyone else notice anything strange, changed, or wrong about creations? Ack, warn for spoilers, heh. Hmm... Drakons are modified sorts... and they modify the serviles... why don't any serviles look at you as if you're nothing? (Especially those 1.2k Health ones?) A note for you all- you can use 6 canisters and not be counted as a canister user. (This would be a way to get some creations earlier in the game, especially if you're trying to be a "pure" rebel.) In Geneforge 2 at Drypeak, I was testing the power of a new creation or spell on a merchant, with no one around in my view, killed her, and nobody reacted. They gotta see you to react, otherwise, you're home free. A Shaper would be able to get ridda evidence, no? Posts: 12 | Registered: Friday, August 12 2005 07:00 |

Earlier in the game, with my pro-rebel, I didn't create anything but a fyora until I was able to get my hands onto a vlish canister. I simply leveled up my fyora and it's statistics along with Alwan and Greta. Multiple creations, when you can't make 2nd level creations, wasn't effective for me. That could be why the infested pathway was so difficult. Are you a guardian? If you aren't, I'd suggest casting the daze spell. They really made the first version pretty of daze pretty decent, it now affects an area, and at that point in the game it should still be effective, I think. I discovered, while spending much time in Khyryk's Tower, that every time I saved, the game would freeze. It'd still save, but it'd freeze every time. I managed to keep saving and reloading the game til I was done and left the tower... but I had to leave in combat mode so autosave wouldn't trap me. To my surprise, returning back to Stonespire, ALL the pickupable items on the ground VANISHED, so I lost all my special gems n such and all that. I went to play on my other char's saves, and it had no problems at all. It must have been at a certain point playing Khyryk's Tower, my PC was doing something and it messed everything up. I tried to go to unerase wizard, but it only recovers the journal saves. What should I do? Is there anyway to bring back my items instead of playing from an earlier part for a few more hours?
