Maybe a good leadership skill helps you cancel out the side effects of canister use to some degree? Posts: 6 | Registered: Friday, June 10 2005 07:00 |

As soon as your enemies have ranged attacks, Alwan is a useless piece of meat. Well, he can be an alternative target... once or twice. But generally I cant use him effectively, because he doesnt have a ranged attack himself. My fav tactic is speeding my fyoras and cryoas up, have them attack once and then withdraw. The enemies follow but use too many AP so they cant attack back. Doesnt work with Alwan of course. Posts: 6 | Registered: Friday, June 10 2005 07:00 |

I came back a lot later, with a lvl 23 Shaper, 2 lvl 20+ Fyoras, 2 lvl 20+ Cryoas, 1 Roamer + Greta (with Acid spell improvement) and Alwan. Each of them augmented and used a Protection and Mass Energize before. The 1st and 2nd tests are easy, the 3rd is a lot harder, then the 4th a bit easier again (I think) because the Pylons die a lot easier and you if you stay at one edge of the room some cant attack you. The last test with 5 Golems is really really tough and cost me a lot of healing spores, speed spores, you name it. It's only worth it for a Shaper, I think. It blesses, heals and speeds. I didnt find any significant reduction in damage. When I push my team up before a fight, I always use mass energize and protection. Posts: 6 | Registered: Friday, June 10 2005 07:00 |

I went back after doing most of Dhonals Island and completed all 5 "Golem tests". So at least at that point it still worked... You just go to the room where the Golem appear and step on the rune, then walk back ot the servant minds room and the room adjacietn to it.. step on the rune there and get a gem on your bracelet. You repeat this 4 more times to complete the test. Posts: 6 | Registered: Friday, June 10 2005 07:00 |

Yes, there is really no reason to face 6 of them simultaneously. I use some hit and run tactics - sometimes they are just too dumb to move effectively and lose their attacks. And some additional low level creations like mindless thahds are good enough to serve as alternative targets for the roamers. @rnowalk: Dont give up so quickly !!!
