quote:Also, not a lot of people were happy with Geneforge 3's graphics (I am one of them). If we stay simple, that should save some annoyances and a lot of complaints about blown-up boat graphics and otherwise. :o Also, it's that the graphics are sort of a trademark of Avernum, just as the 2D flat animations were trademark of Exile, and 3D graphics are trademark of Geneforge. We're all used to these graphics for these games. Changing the graphics to make them more like Geneforge, and you've torn away a piece of Avernum itself. Well, I commented on it because these are the only two instances I have seen creatures with snouts like this, along with the concealing hood that hides their face completely. In game, Ferazel (the other creature, the hero) does not show his eyes under his hood, and looks almost identical to a servile. And I don't remember seeing a creature similar to this in Return of the Jedi... I'll have to watch it again... Posts: 6 | Registered: Wednesday, June 9 2004 07:00 |

I don't know if anybody else has noticed this... Habnabits (as they are called) from Ambrosia's game "Ferazel's Wand" have striking similarities between Geneforge's serviles. Most notably, their elongated snouts. Their clothing is also somewhat similar, but not as similar as their rather unique snouts. Does anyone else notice this? [ Wednesday, July 13, 2005 15:37: Message edited by: Shadowmaster ] Posts: 6 | Registered: Wednesday, June 9 2004 07:00 |

Just one thought... I think we should be able to wear cloaks and robes. I mean, the under armor is nice, but in reality it is possible to wear a robe and a cloak. Besides, it's more armor. Posts: 6 | Registered: Wednesday, June 9 2004 07:00 |

I already sent Spiderweb an e-mail about this, but Geneforge 3 needs a charcter editor, like in the Avernum games and basically all the other Spiderweb RPGs. This was one of the main reasons I didn't buy Geneforge off the bat. :( I think this would make people a bit happier if they get stuck. The editor would allow how many spells you know at what level and the creations you can make at what level. Also, make male/female genders for each character type. Also, if there is not going to be a "Blades" of Geneforge, maybe there could be a World Editor where people could make entirely new scenarios for people to play (these would be massive and few in number.) Just a suggestion... :D Posts: 6 | Registered: Wednesday, June 9 2004 07:00 |
