Is Plot Important? in Blades of Avernum | |

I would have to say a plot is important to any scenario as it adds the flavor to the map and makes it worth playing. Any map with a plot, regardless good or bad, would probably be better than a scenario where you are required to go from town to town, butchering everything you see. I mean, if I were interested in that, I could make a dozen of them right now, but the fact is nothing beats a scenario with a plot. Besides, wouldn't you say it would be preferable to save a town from a rebellion than do a billion dungeon romps? (okay, not the best comparison, but you get the point) Posts: 53 | Registered: Thursday, February 13 2003 08:00 |

While this is possibly a really simple question to answer for some of you people, I am somewhat new to this and would like to know how to exactly install any of the downloaded scenarios. Like, where do you put the files? Help would be appreciated, Thanks! :) Posts: 53 | Registered: Thursday, February 13 2003 08:00 |

Back in the Exile 3 days, I did h** e*** once to be able to summon a doom gaurd. Sadly I think I accidentally hit one and they just kept on popping up. Soon, I not only was surrounded by a legion of doom gaurds, but I couldn't tell which was hostile and which wasn't. So, I'd assume not allowing people to capture doom guards was for good reason. What did happen after that unfortunate incident? My computer took forever to do anything and I ended up restarting my computer. Posts: 53 | Registered: Thursday, February 13 2003 08:00 |

If reinstalling it doesn't work, you can right-click the shortcut and bring up the properties menu. Click on the "Compatibility" tab, check the box that says "Run this program in Compatibility mode for:" and then choose an OS that Nethergate is sure to work under. :D Posts: 53 | Registered: Thursday, February 13 2003 08:00 |

You can stop that now. I do believe everyone has seen enough of this rather odd picture. Why did I sign up here?... I don't downright know. Is there a reason why I shouldn't have. Posts: 53 | Registered: Thursday, February 13 2003 08:00 |

Can't post mine right now, but I shouldn't really need to. Two shortcuts: One shortcut to My Computer (though I have a button to it on my keyboard so I can omit that one), and one to Recycle Bin. Blue background, standard to the Window XP Classic theme. And two items in the startup tray. Very boring... :) Boring is good though. :P Posts: 53 | Registered: Thursday, February 13 2003 08:00 |

Course, if you're not skilled enough, success while attempting to make your own potions is not guarenteed. But heck with that, go ahead. It's free (unless you brought ingrediants). Posts: 53 | Registered: Thursday, February 13 2003 08:00 |

Also, if you feel like it, you can go and kill a few hostile vahnatai. That's bound to get you at least one. :) Posts: 53 | Registered: Thursday, February 13 2003 08:00 |
