Ahh, new blood. And the flesh of the innocent shall be rent from his bones to satisfy the various members of that joint family that is those of the spidweb board. With this blood shall we anoint the a new member. One of a family of newbie…a group that is hunted and tracked to the ends of the land for their infallible curiosity, stupidity, and laughability. But neigh…here, thought shall not be harmed, little newbie…thought shall be cherished as a prize like none other. To be hoarded and held amongst our finest treasures…Yet then whilst though be stolen from under I very noses and from our very doors? I think now, for though is ours now, and never again will thou want for a better home then the general board. But alas that though came now…when the might and the power of Misc. was alive. What a homeland that was…a place of awe and speculation. A wonder in a land of wonder. But fear not, for those of us who belonged to that culture have found a new home. Secreted away into a tiny crack of the world called the general forum. And we pray never again to have to leave our home to seek out a new place, a new land for our self styled raves… So welcome to Exile, how long do you plan on staying? :D
By the way, in case you haven’t noticed you’ll soon start to recognize some of us by our…unique…style of writing :D

As for a game to play try www.netdragons.com. it's an intresting little rpg ish thing that is rather addictive, (unless of course you've gotten a character to grand master, then the only perk is talking to people on the jserver)

If you want a list to choose from try
www.rpggateway.com
it's one of the best that I've seen concerning variety But I mainly stick to written rpgs so I'm not sure. Other then that look for site lists on google, that's the only advice I can give you...

Yes, when I said no godding I ment in the relm of the imagination be sure not to make your character glow intresting colors and fly. But do be sure to make it so that they can last through the adventure. I've made some parties that absolutly could never make it unless they were modified. So take care not to be too extravegant, but do enjoy yourseves:)

NAME; Lashmier
RACE: Nemphilim
SEX: Male
HEIGHT/WEIGHT: 6’ 200lbs
BUILD: Massive
HAND: Ambidextrous
DATE OF BIRTH: 805 IE
PRODESSION: Brigand/Mercenary
PALCE OF BIRTH: Nemphilim fort near Fort Genrick
DESCRIPTION:
Lashmier is a huge cat with black fur and white patches on his face, hands, feet, and across his chest. His right arm bears magical tattoos that affect his hair as well as his skin dyeing them both a silvery white. The tattoos are vastly powerful spells and glyphs that counteract a certain enchantment from a gauntlet which Lashmier acquired from a traveling mage. The man tragically died before being able to tell Lashmier that the item had not been identified as safe or not and was being sent to the lair of Motrax for further investigation. Apparently the gauntlet was far from safe and began immediately to change Lashmiers body into an ethereal substance. Through some miracle of luck Lashmier was able to find a suitably able mage to fix the ravages of the item. The gauntlet, however, could not be removed. The effects of the magic on his hand was permanent so Lashmier is cursed to bear the item forever. A wonderous thing it is to bear nonetheless. Made of silver and set with stoned black as jet and crimson as blood. Intricate patterns and glyphs are carved into the metal and the gems seem to swirl with their own inner life. The dexterity of the gauntlet is amazing, giving it’s user nearly perfect precision with tools no matter how small or fine the detail. Two inch claws extend of the fingers of the gauntlet making it a capable weapon as well. The gauntlet seems to also be able to magnify the simplest spells changing the blaze of a flame to the ferocity of a fireball. All in all it’s a very adaptable item ( :D )
The only armor he wears is a chainmale scarf which acts as a coif. The chain is raged and hangs behind his in strips, some reaching to his waist with most not passing his middle back.
His chest is bare and his left arm is covered to the shoulder with a thick layer of spiked armor. Articulated to perfection, the glove was created by master craftsmen available to only those with the money you get from a life of thievery or politics.
Across his back are strapped two cutlass’s aproximatley a foot and a half in lenth each. The hilts are angled downward and outwards for easy access and the tips potrude over his shoulders a few inches. The blades are each blackened steel with almost a blue shine when the light hits the razor edge.
His pants are those of a traveling swordsman. Wayleighed within sigh of his destination the man was easily enough killed and stripped. Although his sword cleanly took the head of one of Lashmiers companions. The pants are large and seem to be comprised of hundreds of stripps of leather laced together and interspersed with bits of chainmale to reinforce them. Numerous pockets can be found throughout the pants. The sword is quite a wicked weapon. Four feet long and slightly curved, the metal seems to have been…folded. But of course that’s not possible. The blade bears perfect balance and amazing speed, seeming to pass from one point in the air to another without having to pass through the space in-between.(hehe:) The sheath is of black leather and strapped about Lasmier’s waist with another length of chain.
He wears no shoes save for a loupe of cloth to protect the soles of his feet from any damage. If necessary he dons a pair of curious wooden sandals also found on the young swordsman.
About his neck and from his ears bangles numerous silver bells. Interwoven in the chain and one from each ear, the bells create a musical cadence with any movement.
His appearance is pleasant, with sharp handsome features in his face. His voice is loud yet not to the point of being annoying.
Across his shoulder he caries a worn bow of Lemon wood. A quiver at his hip holds barbed arrows with razor points.

PERSONALITY:

Lashmier is a pleasant person to be around. Easy going and ambitious. With few faults besides a touch of egotisticality. He seems to be a born leader, actively taking charge of situations and easily handling dilemmas. His quick wits and silver tongue lend his easily to the role of diplomat for the group and his size and dexterity make his obvious for bartering with merchants of a less reputable nature. When faced with a situation that has gone from bad to worse Lashmier is quick to take control and prefers affirmative action to any one of his men being hurt. He has been the leader of a brand of brigands from since the age of 16. Approaching his 18’th birthday he has become accustomed to people and their problems and learning to deal with them.

Yeah, we're useing the Exile skills...

...per-say...

...But we're addapting them to our characters with allows a bit more freedom and a bit more creativity. You have to use the general idea (hits never doing over 25, etc.) but beyond that you can have the freedom you want. What your character does is what you want him to. but make it consistant with the game.

(When I say 25 I don't mean anything D&Dish..>I mean like...crit. hit on lesser people, on those who can fight that's a rather heavy hit, right...that should do it:D)
I'll post my character Monday after I do a few changes.

Solution...use ranking such as novice, expert, master, grandmaster for skills and low, med., high for stats, that's the way I did it. And use logic, no one's going to be grand master in more then two weapons and most don't have strength as well as intellegence...ya know?

Yah, he's one of mine. He should be in the party. Althought I may have to make some addjustments. This could be more easily played with email. And I could post the progress on the site... That might work better. Any opinions?

Root of all evil in General

Sooooo, what your saying is that I was correct. By admiting that a human emotion, a human dictated things was involved admits that human will was at fault. If a person were not allowed to choose or were not able to do such a thing then all the evils, if seen, if interpreted, if collectivley decided, would be moot. There would be little use for evil or good. All that would exist would be nutrality. But I don't think that's possible at all:P We are human to the core. there is no room for definate decisions or any such thing. We can never be on one side or the other. there will always be a thought or an idea or a difference... it's unavoidable. So really, what is the use of arguing or any such thing? Everything in the end is affected by change? What little is accomplished by an argument or agreement is soon rent apart again into something else completly. Am I wrong?

btw, did anyone notice how usefull a place this is for psycho babble? :D

New news, I'm having a few friends and i write up an acceptable CD to use for a base on characters that can be easily (relativley speaking) addapted into the game. So things are going smooth enough. But I was curious. I seem to have an overabundance of testosterone in the party. I was wondering if we could have some level-headedness to fix that, nameley a female would help make the group more...diverse. So, any takers?

Also, due to an influx of able characters I can accept a person who was not played the game before. One I know what willing to play but regretably had not played the game. Now I have players who know what their doing so, in the spirit of increasing players I can take someone who hasn't. Thank'es

In a side note. Has anyone ever taken the origional characters and adjusted them all to pacifists? Then taken them into the Cat people cave and imagined them running about screaming being hacked to pieces? Morbid, I know, but I just finished typeing up the Intro so I had to give my mind a break. You never really respect Jeff until you have to do what he has done...wow:P

A small joke concerning holy people here. No one take offence please...

Inquisitor to man: Do you belive in god?
Man: No.

BAM!

Inquisitor to man 2: Do you belive in god?
Man 2: Yes.
Inquisitor to man 2: Do you belive in my god?
Man 2: No.

BAM!

All-beit not the funniest joke but you get the point. Arguments can become pointless after a few short minuites. So perhaps the other guy is wrong or "evil" or perhaps you are. It all lies in what you belive. WHat your oppinions are. So. I suppose that the ability to make those choices, to activley think and choose would be what is really evil. A will of our own is from what all evil springs. If we were all slaves, zombies to a higher cause with one mind and one ambition there would be no right or wrong. But to choose a choice... by chooseing you make one decision wrong. And what would evil be without good? Something has to reflect something else. Right? Or else there's simply one thing? So we create good and evil by makeing choices. Without choices there would be nothing but one way, one path and that would be correct.
Human Will is evil. (Although I don't know who Will is...but I'm sorry...he's a rather bad man:)

TO view the poll without voteing would be rather...negligent. THe results you view wouldn't be correct if YOUR information isn't in there. Right? So what would be the point of viewing incorrect information?
As to those who have a momentary laps of the truth. I'm sure theres NOone here who would do such a HOrrible thing because they would have to think about it for EVer and evER and EVER!!!...but as I said. I'm sure there's no one here like that:)

Funney. I'm proof posative that the ability to write well means nothing when compared to the ability to spell. For if it can't be understood then ther's no way in hell the meaning will make a difference. Sorry about that. It seems to be a habit for me:P

You must realize that Money(EDIT: the love of said money:) is the root of all evil, so how does it do any good when you give it to cherity? Corruption comes at it's won will. There is no way that it can be prevented short of removeing every infected part of the individual(government, country, etc.) and cauterizing the wound. The following carnage would be so severe that there would be little use for a new order because the old, haveing been destroyed, would be falling apart. What people do is a natural evil. But it is the lesser of the two evils by far. Corruption or chaos. Your choice.

I realize suddenly that the meaning of this poll is suddenly moot. For those of the older persuasion (a.k.a under 25) are of a type to not waste their time with trivialities such as a poll about your age. And those in the less-then-youthfull boat would also prefer it to be unknown of their age. That kinda makes it a bit difficult to tally the actual true answer...no?
