Yo, Axe here
a pleasure to meet you all
anyway
I was curious if we still had to pay for Exile 2, its an old game (played back around 1996, ahhh the memories :') ) but I still read stuff about registrating, and which got me worried about paying for this game even now. So do we still have to pay for the full version?

Yes, you still have to pay to register the Exile games. Spiderweb Software hasn't stopped selling them, and, judging by what Jeff's said in the past, customers haven't stopped buying them.

Yeah, it's not like the game has deteriorated since 1996.

If you registered before, you don't have to do so twice - tell Jeff the original name and address you registered from, and he'll update the registration code. I've never put it to the test, mind you.

Its a small price to pay for hours of entertainment. Its only $25 US to buy. List of games is here, if you were curious.

No, but there will be an Avernum 4.

EDIT: You can't be too addicted to E2. In fact you can never be addicted enough.

There will be Avernum 4 but no Exile 4?... The earlier Avernum worlds are copies from Exiles, so the Exile 4 world could be a copy of Avernum 4 world. What do you think about this? Or is this said before?.. Dunno.. I'm a newbie to the forums. Still played the Exiles since I was five, heh.
Peace

The Avernum series is newer and so I guess Jeff figures that he will make more sales by making an Avernum 4 rather than an Exile 4.

I emailed Jeff about this about a week ago, but just looked at the email. :D

The single games are $25, but you can get the trilogy as a package deal for $45, or $60 with the hint booklets.

If someone did a (really, really good, hyper-accurate) BoE version of A4, I would buy BoE for that one reason alone.

Hint, hint, all you BoE experts with too much free time.

The bundle for each game is $35 or $95 for all 3.

I plan on sending my registration for Exile III tommorow morning... I wanna go way up north...

The engine is completely different - it would be incredibly difficult (but easier than doing a GF port).

BoE already has Exile IV: At The Gallows.

And that's where the discrepancies are going to come in. But I won't be miffed unless he changes the name "Ermarian". That'd be nasty.

Are you sure about that? Did Jeff tell you what it's going to be about, or are you just making assumptions or something?

It takes a dedicated beta tester to test before the product is in beta.

Or is Drakey an alpha tester?

The corruption is much further than you think. Drakefyre is Jeff, as well as Richard White. It is all one big conspiracy, though that is for another forum...

Wait. I thought Drakey was Mariann and Linda. Now you say Jeff and Richard. I wish I had abandoned all of my sanity.

Imban is obviously married to Linda. Drakey and Mariann are two aspects of the same entity, and Jeff Vogel is in fact the eleventh incarnation of Vishnu, while Richard is the current head of the Bavarian Order of Illuminati.

You're right. We'll just have to pretend that this topic is in RWG until somebody gets around to moving it.

Somehow, if I were you I'd watch my back. ;)

The truth is obviously that Linda is Imban, just like the rest of us.
