There is a Rebel Fort that gets attacked by shapers.
It is in Burwood Province. This area is 1 right from the fort that is extreme north.

I am level 27 (28?) and each time I tryed to help defend the trapped Rebels, I lose. Even though I bless/protection and I haste myself, my level 23 fyora, and whatever rebel I can before the creations arrive.

Any tips?

You're still carting a fyora around? Good Lord, why?

This fight is one of the hardest in the game. Taking on multiple Wingbolts is no picnic at the best of times. Spray and swarm crystals can help to take out the less magic-resistant creations. Consider using madness or torrent gems if you have them. Once the wingbolts come, hide around corners and try to draw them into doorways so you don't have to take on all of them at once.

Oh, so everyone has trouble with wingbolts. I thought it was just me.
And I have had my fyora the whole game, just like I had a thald for the whole G3 game.

Edit -but I am going to switch to a kyshakk once I have more essense (I would have 50 left, I perfer to have more).

What class are you? How could your Fyora only have 23 levels? It should at least be the same level as your character.

I am a fighter or whatever the class is.
In other words, I am a melee type.
Hmm, I probably need to up my level.

Any suggestions?

Edit -I am level 28 and my fyora is 24.

Well, do I need to up my level for this?
If so, how should I go about it?

Stay in the fort. Don't run out to meet the creations. Let them come to you, since they come in small groups. Take out the most dangerous foes first. Try to get the enemies to concentrate their fire on multiple targets. If you have time between waves, heal as many people as you can.

Try to stay behind the fort walls. You may lose a few rebels when they venture out on their own. Try to use speed and shelding spores with blessing to keep them all buffed. The wingbolts tend to retreat when damaged. Wait them out since there is a guardian that attacks at the end. Also if you go out too far there is a regular patrol with kyshakks waiting that you would rather do later when the rebels are rescued.

Icy crystals work great for a range attack on wingbolts.

Its best not to try to save the rebels until you kill everyone in view first then they can make a run for it and they will most likely make it out, really all you have to do is kill the seekay guy,and the thornflinger, the turrets, and the two scouting guys, whatever you want to call them, and get rid of the wingbolts, they will run for a bit, then combat shuts on enemies come fast in this area, then they make a run for it again, fend off the other creations and whatever and they will most likely make it.

This is a really tough fight, and your character doesn't seem to be very powerful: a level 28 warrior and one fyora are just not really up to it. The enemies come in strength and numbers, and you need some really heavy firepower to take them out fast, before they kill you. Like, several wingbolts of your own, or a pack of drayks; or some high-level offensive spells, with high skill levels and many hundreds of points of spell energy to burn. Or really good mental magic, to charm the enemies and make them fight each other.

To beef up this character enough to handle this fight, I think you'd want something like five more levels, and pump up Intelligence a lot in order to make more creations. Then get several drayks.

You might try dropping the difficulty level to Easy. Or just skip it: this fight is optional. You could come back much later, or just decide that this one has to be one more loss for the rebels. They're used to it.

Well, should I go to the Barrier zones to level up?

barrier zone isn't the best choice...
when i was lv 40 it seemed to be difficult, monsters there speed and bless themselves, and they have 400-500 hp,and their attacks aren't weak, and they love to ambush you.

Hehe,I did NEVER have troubles there;I only use the cheat ``dbugkill´´ and poof, monsters gone experience taken. Is the easy way :P .But be carefull when you use this cheat,it can be a BIG trouble if you use it in certain points,by an example,in G3 if you use it in Darkstone Core, you kill the servant mind.

Why? If you cheat at least cheat effectively. Use iamweak it is more efficient.

Back to the topic: absorb your fyora and make a kyshakk. Train in the Barrier Zone until you level up. Put all your points into intelligence and create several drayks. When you feel ready to defend the rebels, essence shield your creations and bless and haste.

I have just over 200 essence.
If I make a kyshakk with 2intelligence, I will have a little over 50 left, and I perfer to have more on me.

And training in the barier zone is a bad idea.

Not if you're at the point where you can afford a Kyshakk.

So a fresh (able controled) kyshakk is better then a fyora you have had the whole game?

I have made a kyshakk (absorbing my faithful fyora first) and it had a level of 28.
Its stats are not as large as my fyora (though it is close), but its HP is in the 600's.

Is it better than my fyora?

Edit -fixed misspelling.

Probably, but it might depend. Try something with your fyora and then reload to try it with your kyshakk. It certainly has more health, which could be what you need to deflect attacks off of you.

Or, you can keep your fyora with you. It's only 11 essence (or slightly more if you've improved it), and you should be able to increase your intelligence to get more.

Finally, go back and do any zone you didn't do before. Help out the infiltrators and then kill them to gain experience if you haven't already, and make that zone one of the last in the chapter to complete.

I have used 92 essence on fyora.
And I am about to spend more.

Edit -and I am pure rebel in this go-through.
I have never helped the shapers in this go-through.

Well, the best way was the rogues in the Fens, but you've already finished chapter 3 so you don't really have that option any more.

Have you been through Valeya Ruins yet? There are a lot of things to kill there if you're going pro-rebel.

By only doing rebel quests you're kinda shooting yourself in the foot -- a lot of good XP comes from quests. All you can really do is run around killing stuff and doing what quests are available to you; there aren't any really great levelling-up areas past chapter 3.
