Hi i played this game and so far there is one thing im curious about .
On the official website i saw this :

You can buy a house or go on one of many side adventures. You can hurry to save the cities, or sit back and watch them crumble. Whatever you choose, Avernum 3 promises a massive and engaging adventure which will gladly absorb all the hours you can spare.

So...where i can buy a house ?? did anyone tried to see if we can..if so how ??

Hawke's Manse in Lorelei. The owner was killed by a very large rock, and thus the mansion is available for a mere 8000 gold, I believe.

There's also an abandoned house you can move into somewhere near Sharimik.

I tried to think of something witty to put here.

Needless to say, I failed.

The funny thing is, the given birthdate is February 11, 1981. Almost 30 years old. Maybe some people just never learn.

Thuryl - do you have to troll the newbies? I know it's easy but it's more fun to go after ET.

Striker is probably gone by now. And this thread hasn't been posted in for several days but...

Hopefully he will catch this: I say that buying it is worthwhile, especialy if you have cash to burn.
There are many spell books and a few items (and a place to rest).

It is entertaining too.

Do you mean buying Hawke's Manse, or A3? :P

Anyway, I usually buy Hawke's Manse in E3 for a place to store stuff. In A3, buying it is probably a moot point, except maybe for the spell books (though I wouldn't know, since I don't have the registered version of A3).

Try talking to him instead of killing him. It might be a... rewarding experience.

*sigh*
She did not mean that. Also, if it never turns hostile besides attacking it friendly, you probably aren't going to kill it.
Talking can be a rewarding experience, as someone just said.

Also, do this. Save first (of course). Then kill the maid. Then reload.

Edit -where is the ghost and...typo

What I meant was that where in that mansion is it.
It appears in at least two different places.

(transforms into Excalibur, eat pie, and changes back)
