Oay, I finished VoDT a day or two ago, and does anyone else share my opinion that the whole thing was a little too sprawling? I for one found it very annoying that after finally making it down that long tunnel to the control center building, and hitting the right buttons on the machinery, and killing packs of altered beasts, that you had to walk all the way back out... Wouldn't a portal back to the main cave under the school have been easier (and less annoying)? In my opinion, a lot of the quests in VoDT had this distinct feel: that they were too spread out, and that too much time was spent running between critical buildings. I felt that it really detracted from the plot, because running past the carcasses of the same Platebugs ten times is just annoying. -------------------- Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. There are shortcuts out of various parts of the school, although AFAIK all of them lead outdoors. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

Yes, I found those shortcuts too, but still... it was a little annoying running around like my party was on skribbane. -------------------- Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. I hate undead. What? I thought everyone did skribbane. Well, at least that's what the vendor told me... -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! Posts: 1582 | Registered: Wednesday, November 13 2002 08:00 |

Who sells skribbane? edit: ...missed the topic. No, I was not annoyed by running through tricky labyrinths. For a low level party, it could be annoying to have deseases all the times. But I like the story in VoDT: true and desperate. No, it wasn't the labyrinths I found annoying (I like those). It was the running back and forth through the SAME mazes over and over again that I found annoying. -------------------- Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. I hate undead.
