I don't know, if there will be something like Hawke's mansion in BoA - if yes and if it's not too late, a little proposal: All items and stuff you bring here for later use would be removed by Marjorie. She will clean up everything behind you, thus you must search your stuff every time in all the chests and crates ...

I think, it would be easy to implement, but maybe it's annoying after a while.

Marjorie could also ask for a rise in wages every two month ... She's anyway a NPC, who could develop

Whether a Hawk's Manse equivalent exists in a scenario is up to the designer. The idea would probably be a pain to program, but it would be possible.

—Alorael, who just hopes that scripts can actually handle move item rectangles correctly and funnel them all into a single space. It would be nice to get all those broken BoE nodes working as scripts.

Since dropped items are always preserved, this becomes unnecessary.

It would show that the housekeeper's wages aren't just funding bizarre curses.

—Alorael, who was happier with a free housekeeper who received no wages, actually. Still, if you want one who will earn her keep, it should be possible.

So you don't find this funny, uh?
Of course it's not necessary. Just to complicate the game a little bit. It's irritating, if somebody always clears away your stuff and you have to search after it. Have you never been annoyed by your mother, when she cleaned up your room and confused all?

Unless you're Alcritas, in which case you can do it with a library.
Unless you're Stareye, in which case you can do it with a power plant. And special spells. And virtually all of Spy's Quest.
Unless you're Creator, in which case you can do it with outdoors that murder you by walking in them. And super-powered combats. And by playing through those combats with a level-1 party.
Unless you're Terror's Martyr, in which case you can do it with super-powered enemies hurling special spells against super-powered allies who basically make your involvement in the scenario pointless.
Unless you're Drakefyre, in which case you can fail horribly to make any scenario of any sort. Repeatedly.
Unless you're Brett Bixler, in which case you can be a talented graphics artist, yet fill your scenario with completely uninspired color shifts and nonsensicalities, not to mention completely nonsensical character interactions.
Unless you're Drizzt, in which case you can keep the party away from the centrefuge of the action at all points, bar-none.
Unless you're Aceron, in which case you can be a fundamentalist Christian.
Unless you're Ben Frank, in which case you can use WAY too many outdoors. Repeatedly.
Unless you're Interplay Studios, in which case you should die. Horribly. And repeatedly.
Unless you're Vince Fizz, in which... No, VF isn't the exception to the rule.
Unless you're Adolf Hitler, in which you can have a really cool moustache.
Unless you're George W. Bush, in which case you can be a chimpanzee with a southern accent.
Unless you're Jeff Vogel, in which... Nope, he's not an exception to the rule either.

Indeed, Interplay should die a horrible, horrible death. Rat ********.

"We are lost."

So I guess this sums it up... don't make anything annoying, or you shall be added to The List.

Perhaps the big "VF" should defer to his constant references to TV shows and Frieza.

ok., then it was a stupid idea - shame on me, I will slap my head ten times against the wall :o excuse my bothering

... but about annoying and unsensical things in a game: I like them. There are a few in Avernum: The obstacle trees for ex., or if you spend your last piercing Crystal, to discover just nothing in the chest behind the barrier. It's annoying but also a surprise. I enjoy to be surprised throughout the game, it's not really annoying.
I think a game wold be irksome without some unsensical obstacles ...

Well go ahead and make it. We aren't stopping you. It isn't neccesary to run every idea by people before implementing it.

TM, when did Aceron EVER annoy the player? It's not like he ever made a scenario.

EDIT: Silly me. You include Hitler and Dubya and I ask why Aceron's on it.

I'm not sure, but I seem to recall Aceron having made on scenario. Either that or a completely separate game.
