Whew, okay, I'm back, and I've read over most of the e-mails sent since I left. I think this scenario will go through at least two or three more beta versions, not just one, and I want testers who've never seen it before for each new version, so I'll be adding to the list gradually.

At any rate, expect a new version soon.

Okay, I am at a loss. I can't figure out how to convert the graphics from a Mac to a PC. I've made a bunch of .BMP files, and they are named G500.BMP and so forth, and they're 16-bit, like the docs say, and they're the right size because they're copied directly from graphics that work on a Mac, but they fail to work on my PC.

Would someone be so kind as to convert the graphics for me, or at least suggest to me where I am going wrong?

The ones I sent out were 32-bit, which is way too high, but I changed them to 16-bit, and they still don't work.

Until I get the graphics fixed, PC users are just going to have to wait, I guess.

Second double-post in the same topic w00t!

Okay, well, I sent out the second beta version to a somewhat larger group of testers. If you still haven't gotten it yet, hang on a little bit. I'm expecting that I'll do two more beta runs after this (with a version 3 and a version 4), and then I'll release it. I want at least a few fresh people each time.

TM informed me that Photoshop makes BMPs that BoA doesn't like, but Preview can export them just fine, so I converted the graphics using Preview and they appear to work now. Thanks, TM.

I sent the scen and fixed graphics out to five testers. Check your inboxes.

Hotmail gives me that same error for every file that's not a .sit, sending or receiving.

Luckily, I had four plus other email addresses...so that helps. :P

I have a new address at simo_santeri@luukku.com, so if my hotmail one does not work, this one would maybe be better.

Your email? I only recieved the two with the attached files. I'll let you know later today. I'm going to try transfering the file from a different computer.

I thought that I was on the second round of testing? What happened? Just going by the list of testers that you put out in the beginning. If I have to wait another round, no big deal.

You're in the next round, now. Believe me, you'll prefer it this way, because you'll get the version with re-vamped combat.

Oh, heck, I'll have the next version done by Thursday. Anyone who hasn't gotten the scen yet, you're probably going to get the next version (except for a few people that I'll hold in reserve in case I feel that I need to do yet another round after this next one).

Everyone who has gotten the scenario, I'd like comments by the end of the day tomorrow if at all possible.

EDIT: And if you haven't finished, send any comments you have on the parts that you have been through so far.

Which one? There are three. The one in the northeast is the one most likely to get you into trouble, but basically all you have to do is destroy as many projectors as you can until you get to the mirrors gathered in the southwest.

This puzzle was originally supposed to be much harder, but BoA's beam code is so buggy that it didn't end up working properly.

In the side quest I have some problems.

1st - I can't get to the room north of the ghosts trapped in the crystals even after I free them and they tell me that they'll unlock it. oh, and after I free them I can return and free them again and again. Do you want this to happen?

2nd - When I go to the throne room the ghosts come to help me fight but instead of fighting the baddies they attack me! what up with that?

3rd - In the lower level does that third portal ever work? I've been everywhere and I can't make it work. Is there a trick?

Please email me if you don't want to post answers...
Thanks!

Benjamin
