I was kind of wondering what new spells/abilities might have been approved for sure, and whether there was any more news about the skill trees. (Yes, I really am impatient about finding out, but I guess I could wait for a while ;) )

If nothing has been given the go ahead yet, feel free to ignore/lock/delete this topic.

Well, we're getting a new field spell and a paralyze/disease/slow type spell.

And a Marksmanship special skill right? I heard that somewhere from the BOSS and I hope I got that right. Finally my archer/warrior can kick it in both fields. ALSO, did I hear right that Ambidextrious(sp) is coming back? I was hoping it would but I'm not sure if that came from a reliable source. If it's not coming back, then my planned characters are gunna have to change :( .

I don't think ambidexterity is returning. As far as I remember Jeff hasn't said anything about it, and the engine changes required would be prohibitive. Besides, in A3 your characters do quite enough damage without being given two hits, while an extra sword without an extra hit would not do anything because of the damage cap.

—Alorael, who loathes and detests the damage cap. Actually, it's the inflated damage that bothers him, but as long as that's there it might as well be really inflated.

Final Fantasy inflated?

Imagine doing 4,000 damage in one hit! And then the goblin strikes you back for 6,000.

A Goblin doing 6000dmg? Haha that'll be the day. The little farts have like 10hp! AND THAT'S why they are the focus of my scenario. But it isn't gunna be a walk through. There will lots of them buggaz. Too bad you won't be able to put ambidextrious-ism to use...

Oh, not another one...
Goblin scenarios are done way too much. If you can do it well or add a unique twist to it, I like to play goblin dungeons and scenarios. But if it's just another boring "OH NO IT IS THE EVIL GOBLINS THEY ARE KILLING US KILL THEM" scenario, I wouldn't waste my time. A Road To Darkness by Aruneko is okay in my opinion (I like the sign on the goblin hut and the trash men, although it's a bit of a Monty Haul scen, unless he fixed it), and Deadly Goblins by The Creator is good for a goblin scenario, from what I've heard. Honestly, I would suggest trying something else. You could always just put a good goblin dungeon in for a side quest in a bigger scenario. Just make it worthwhile.
Anyway, yes, I do remember someone saying that Jeff said Marksmanship will be included.
Drakey, didn't you say it was going to be some sort of curse spell, not a disease spell?

He just said that it would be a negative status effect spell.

Of all Jeff's posts, I don't think I've ever seen one confirming ambidexterity, so it's probably safe to assume that it isn't in.
Anyway, goblin scenarios are just like any other: if they're well done, the story is good, and the cliches are kept to a minimum, then they're good. Otherwise, they're not.
Anyway, they still don't seem to be as overdone as the 'evil vahnatai' scenario. I personally want to do something revolving around the GIFTSs. Specifically, something not involving slaughtering the poor critters like sick people on the forums keep discussing.

Yes, mine is gunna be good. Not like those other ones. I do know what you're talking about when you refer to those, and trust me it won't be like those. The plot isn't just defeating the goblins. They are just the main enemy. It'll be good, I'm confident (not boasting) that a good number of people will like it. But... if you have worries, e-mail me and tell me what you want to see included/deleted.

Yeah, same here. I made a couple of scenarios (BAD scenarios, though I think they're still up on spiderweb's first efforts table), but I'm waiting until BoA to the best ideas I have.
Who knows, I may do some scenario or other for BoE, if I can decide on an idea that I like enough.
