Scorp, was dragging arguments up out of the past really necessary? I don't think that does anyone any good, and I do think that it might be something some people would rather not see brought up again. —Alorael, who doesn't think the post was anything anyone particularly cared about anyway. Just think usual Scorp randomness, only more Spiderweb-related and more biting. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

Do we even know RiB will be good? The only scenario we've seen from Drakey is Isle of Bigail. -------------------- We're all amazed but not amused By all the things that you said you'd do. At this point, RiB will be played by 95% of the community the day it comes out regardless of whether it's good or bad. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

I think RiB is Rhapsody(sp?) in Blue, which is a BoE scenario that Drakey has been working on for quite a while. Posts: 901 | Registered: Monday, June 24 2002 07:00 |

RiB wouldn't be so amusing if Drakey hadn't given us predictions for when it would be finished that have been off by more than a year. —Alorael, who doesn't even care if RiB is good or not. Even if it's worthy of review by Desperance, it would be nice to be able to see that Drakey hasn't been lying to everyone. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

Maybe Drakey is following the instructions in the Blades manual. He's just added the tree to Warrior's Grove, and in a month or so he will start on the goblin pit. -------------------- Grammar wenches beware: This is the house that the malt that the rat that the cat that the dog that the cow that the maiden that the man that the priest that the cock that the farmer kept waked married kissed milked tossed worried killed ate lay in. "..and after decades of hard work, mr. Thompson put in the final bunch of treasures, thus fnishing his long-waited scenario, Rhapsody in Blue, then preparing to beta-test it. All went well in the Warrior's Grove, but entrance to the Goblin Pit had to be edited, for there actually was no town 2! After spending a while reading the Blades of Exile Editor Manual, mr. Thompson found out the way to change the town which the party would enter as colliding with the icon on the world map. 'Hooray, RiB is finally finished!', he yelled, in grazed fury of happiness! 'Now, I shall e-mail this truly fantastic scenario of mine to mr. Jeff Vogel, perhaps he will put it on his site so everyone else can play it too!' So did mr. Thompson e-mail his scenario to mr. Jeff Vogel. Little did he know, however, that mr. Jeff Vogel only likes to put good scenarios on his site, not just some crappy edits of the Manual Scenario." Nah, even I will have registered BoE before RiB comes out.. -------------------- Meet the savior. KYMCO Super Fever will force you to do so. Haw. Hm... will there be any way to make BoE scenarios for BoA quickly, or will they have to be totally redone? I remember that Jeff said that BoA would come with utility that you can use to easily remake the scenario's of BoE to BoA -------------------- I am the one and only Wizard! General opinion is that it either won't be easy or it won't work very well. BoA is expected for Mac either at the end of 2003 or the beginning of 2004, and like other games it will come out for PC a month or two after that. —Alorael, who expects to drool at least one of the two swimming pools of saliva created in a human lifetime while waiting. Wouldn't that interfere with skribbane guzzling? Or have you mastered that technique by now? By the way, what exactly is Blades? I mean, I know the general idea of it, but could someone explain what you can do with it mroe specifically? -------------------- And though the musicians would die, the music would live on in the imaginations of all who heard it. -The Last Pendragon TEH CONSPIRACY IZ ALL Les forum de la chance. Why not download the demo of BoE and see for yourself? Although you can't play custom scenarios, you can see what Jeff did and see what you can do. Then try registering. —Alorael, who would assume that in a general way BoA will be just like BoE, only for Avernum. And he doubts anyone will contest that, either. Let me ammend what Alorael said by adding that Valley of the Dying Things is a complete piece of crap, even moreso because of how it deters people from playing BoE almost as much as Za-Khazi does.
