That image Aran just used to close a thread reminded me of this program, which uses given parameters to generate a scenery image. It was called "genesis" or some such. Personally, I never learned how to use the damn thing, even though I think it would be a great accessory for creative purposes. What I want to know, have the rest of you run across that program or something similar, and what have you managed to do with it? -------------------- Life is a neverending carneval where everyone has multiple costumes. I'll save you the trouble. Terragen @ SV It's a pretty awesome program and it runs on Mac/Win. From what I've seen, it can take a bit of practice to make something that looks good, but it works pretty well. Good for Blades splash images. -------------------- Do not provoke the turtles. I've managed to create a few semi-beautiful things with it, but it's difficult. If you then google around and find what other people have done with it, you're in for some depression. =/ There are lots of Terragen splash screens on the Blades forge, by the way. Wow. They use a high-dimensional possibility space where choices are communicated between users. That's an extremely interesting concept, and I think it can be applied to a lot of problems involving large amounts of data - web search, say. Oh, right.
