The way you said that made it sound like it would hurt.

I get the impression that the guy who posted it might not have known what this thread was and just went with the flow, only to find that the flow was going a different way then he thought. We should excuse the mistaken.

I wasn't sure before, but this thread is proof that people are definitely getting stupider.

1) I did (and still do) know what this thread is. And my deliberatly getting the two pictures Alec posted mixed up was just that: deliberate. It was an attempt at extracting humour from a situation.

2) At Annoyed: shut up. We *know* the correct phrase, which is why "batted eyelids" is funny in th first place.
