I.F.M. and Slade are concealed in the tree, preparing to seize our psychological well-being on the occaison. I happen to be sitting on the ground, spawned by moments of insanity That tree appears to shelter a hermaphrodite or two. -------------------- WWJD? Too bad no one designed the tree for plural marriages. I have a husband, now I need a wife. She knows who she is. ;) Posts: 437 | Registered: Sunday, July 13 2003 07:00 |

quote:a) High speed isn't available to everybody. The only option I have is dial-up. b) Not all of us are rolling in money. c) Some people *cough* don't find dial-up all that prohibitive. As a matter of fact, I can load the tree in about 15 seconds. EDIT: Typo of mass illegibility. How can dial-up be your only option, Nioca? ...and it only takes me 3 seconds to load the tree! :P -------------------- I stand at the gates of hell and hand out brochures. Posts: 103 | Registered: Friday, November 23 2001 08:00 |

Some people live with their parents. Sometimes said parents don't feel like getting high speed. It's that simple. -------------------- You acquire an item: Radio Free Foil Posts: 1169 | Registered: Monday, September 23 2002 07:00 |

Some people don't live in a high enough density area to induce profiteering companies to offer high-speed options. For instance, the only high-speed option to me is satellite. In the time my signal has bounced 80 thousand miles through space, you can have already thought up a witty response to this post. -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

Satellite? Only option? Witty response? It's only about 44,000 miles to a communication satellite and back to Earth. That's not quite a quarter of a second. While some of us are quick thinkers, I don't know if anyone but TM could come up with a blistering retort that fast. —Alorael, who supposes it's important to receive a response to information sent, so meaningful two-way communication requires an 89,000 mile trip of half a second plus some time for thinking on the other end. In today's fast-paced world, that might as well be forever. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

We might as well be. Also, being the older sibling, I'm telling you to.. er.. go and wash some dishes on my behalf.
