This has been brought up a lot. I played from launch until about a week ago. I got bored. I realize there's an expansion coming, but I doubt it'll keep me interested. To clarify: I got kicked out of my raiding guild because I had incompatible schedules. That left PvP and alts. PvP sucks in WoW, imo. And I have played to 60 in multiple cases, so I've seen literally all the content available. Warhammer Online... now that's what I'm looking forward to. It crossed my mind, but I figure I never wanted to have to admit to actually doing that. Heck, I'd leave raids just to go get HANG WITH MY FRIENDS. Teh hardcore people get pissed off, but hey, it's not my problem. blah blah fine. I actually though you meant this for a second, but apparently not. I've never played World of Warcraft, though I probably should have. (???) -------------------- -ben4808 Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

I've a neighbor that didn't go offline from WoW for several months. I'm not sure how she coped with eating, defecating, sleeping, etc, but I suspect that her husband took over at times. What really sucked about that situation was that they had farm animals that had to be cared for. Luckily in a small community there are folks that will feed someone's cows and horses because it needs doing, and don't mind the fluttering of a curtain as the crazed WoW addict turns their attention back to the monitor god. The husband eventually got tired of it and shot the computer and monitor. Several days out of doors reminded the lady that having atrophied muscles and starving livestock was not a good way of life. That would be reason #1 to not have high speed internet when lacking a "go to the office" type of job. Edit - Never played it myself. Dialup... ;) [ Thursday, August 31, 2006 19:11: Message edited by: Jumpin' Salmon ] -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

I can't really suggest playing it. To get anything out of the experience, it's hefty investment for a casual gamer. That said, it IS the best fantasy MMORPG out there. It's not a bad game, just isn't for everyone. (Sales figures would prove me incorrect, but take it from a veteran) -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! A normal server, Jeff? I expected better of you. Anyway, I was just wondering who else played, because my new roomate got me hooked on it. For the one or two of you who care, I am a Level 22 Gnome Rogue, on Twisting Nether. I've only been playing for 2 weeks, so I figure this isn't to bad, although I know some people who get to 60 in a month. To those that play: I had a 60 Night Elf Rogue, a 60 Night Elf Warrior, a 60 Human Paladin, and a 60 Troll Hunter. I considered my rogue as my 'main' character, since he was my first. However, population inbalances being what they were, the troll was the best geared... it was a lot easier getting in a raiding guild when you had little competition. I played on Kargath (a PvE server). My brother still plays, he's a Horde-y on Skywall. -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! Posts: 1582 | Registered: Wednesday, November 13 2002 08:00 |

I don't see the point in baiting. I'd have thought that anyone who responds to "bait" (myself included) probably doesn't need or deserve to be heard. -------------------- quote: Posts: 1115 | Registered: Sunday, May 15 2005 07:00 |
