I voted for Geneforges. I usually enjoy Geneforge more than Avernum (perhaps in part because there are less @%*$ secret passages to look for).

If you mean the Avernum Trilogy and the Geneforge Trilogy, Avernum. If you are talking about the 1st games of the trilogies, Avernum. So it's obvious that I voted for Avernum.

I had no idea that there was a Homeland 2... even in a hypothetical, it-hasn't-been-made-yet sense.

Well, it's only an alpha demo.

I liked it, the engine is much better than the Homeland 1 engine. The demo looked fairly promising, really, but there's still a lot of work that needs (would need) to be done, both in terms of engine and gameplay balance. Still, I think it would be worth it.
