What do you think Jeff's next game or series should be about. I'm talking new, not Avernum or Geneforge. Personally I think it should be something present or future based. I'm getting a bit sick of Jeff doing nothing but magic based medieval games. Geneforge is medieval and magic based just so you know, and I've never viewed it as anything near a sci-fi. -------------------- Constitutional monarchies are the in monarchies. Whatever it is, it'll be a long time in coming. GF4 is next, and then A5, and then probably GF5. -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens. What would you like it to be? Oh and he might somehow throw in a Nethergate 2. -------------------- Constitutional monarchies are the in monarchies. Posts: 1186 | Registered: Friday, June 18 2004 07:00 |

Nethergate 2 is, by all accounts, not going to happen. I'd like him to try a new universe, something as near to yet as distant from generic fantasy as Avernum is. But honestly, I have no idea what that might be. -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens. It's a start, and it sounds intriguing. I'd love to hear more about what you have in mind. -------------------- Constitutional monarchies are the in monarchies. Posts: 1186 | Registered: Friday, June 18 2004 07:00 |

I was happy with the creation of Exile. I was happy with the creation of Nethergate. I was happy with the creation of Geneforge. The engine and I don't get along but the plot seems solid. Really, I think Jeff has shown that he can create good universes. I feel safe leaving it up to him. —Alorael, who is in a happy with creation mood. I feel safe leaving it with him, although of course there's always room for improvement in any creation. -------------------- Lifetime Spiderweb Gamer and Fan of Classic Style Graphics Posts: 42 | Registered: Saturday, April 10 2004 07:00 |

How about something sci-fi? Exploring a new planet, or an enormous space hulk, or something like that. -------------------- We're not doing cool. We're doing pretty. Posts: 3335 | Registered: Thursday, September 4 2003 07:00 |

Wasn't there a topic like this a while ago where someone stated that JV cannot legally use ideas given to him on a forum? Or maybe it was he refuses to get ideas from the forums? If you like an idea, don't mention it, and it will have a change of being produced. Anyway, I'll be happy with whatever new universe JV produces, as long as it has the requisite number of Fluffy Turtles. -------------------- IF I EVER BECOME AN EVIL OVERLORD: I will never employ any device with a digital countdown. Hey, I only made the statement about games designed to entertain vlish, starring vlish, simply because it was funny... A vlish asking for vlish oriented games. We only like looking at humans when watching bipedal appendage porn. Silly bipeds have no humour. **Gurgles** -------------------- If I could make just one wish, I would want a tasty vlish. It's usually not tentacle on tentacle action (squid sex never caught on). The popular subgenre in question usually concerns intimacy between possessors of tentacles and bipeds. It really comes down to two perspectives with different focuses on the same material. —Alorael, who is glad to know that that niche market can be interspecies. Maybe Jeff should build a 3D engine and start making RPGs like everyone else. Or keep going like this. As long as the plots stay original and enthralling and the gameplay stays non-annoying. -------------------- -ben4808 Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |
