I'm not sure about how to write Hebrew. Especially when I have to write it in such a way Americans/English/whatever can pronounce it like it is. But then I can really speak it better than I ca write it. I must say I'm really VERY bad in writing Hebrew, actually. It was a nice attempt though, wasn't it?

To make up for it though, here it is in Dutch:

Hartelijk gefeliciteerd en nog vele jaren gewenst!

I don't know any language other than English, so... Happy 18th Birthday.

Well, not exactly. harbeh is many, so "v'harbeh shanah tovah" means "and many good year." I like your transliteration otherwise, though, so I'd go with

Yom huledet sameach, v'shanah me'od tovah.
(v'shanah me'od tovah = and a very good year)

Isn't it also possible to have:

"v'harbeh shanot tovot"?

I meant to remove the harbeh along with the other plurals, but I suppose many a good year sounds fine in English. I'm less sure about the idiom in Hebrew, though...

—Alorael, who sees nothing wrong with harbeh shanot tovot except the way that getting that he believes a wish for one specific good year works better by not spreading the wish too thin. There is some evidence (still awaiting publication) that specific well-wishing has a 34% greater effect.

I'm not sure people will appreciate it if we all start speaking in different languages, specially the ones that only speak english. And since most of us are from different continents(Australia, Europe, America, etc) and several members speak more than one language I'm sure we could come up with tons of languages. It would make a good topic and/or poll.

Btw, No estoy segura de cuanta gente hay de Latin America, pero creo que alrededor de 5. Aunque hay muchos miembros que entienden el español.

To be fair, it's a simple case ol gender agreement. To be equally fair, it's not that hard to match A with A and O with O.

—Alorael, who can think of many languages. English is the one of choice, of course, and Spanish is a fairly common as well. Aran and spy.there have German covered, Zeviz brings some Russian, and the many Finns bring their double letter talk. There's some Hebrew, although the quality ia uncweidiws, there's Swedish, there's a great deal of semi-competent French, there was at least at one time some Brazilian Portuguese, and that is enough languages to make communication utterly baffling.

And Thuryl gets the prize. In spanish, similar to Italian, most words ending in A are female and O are male.

To demonslayer: thanks

Edit: To Kel: it wasn't that bad. I've heard worst attempts.

Your Spanglish is excellent, then.
