However, Drakey fails to mention that any matching of said standards is nullified by asking/verbally desiring a title. Alorael is proof of such a case.

As am I. Stareye (or was it Zeviz? I forget) gave me a title once, but it was horrible and offensive. I asked him to change it, so he changed it to something even more horrible and offensive. This was repeated several times unti l I just gave up and said "Fine! I don't want a custom title then!" and he removed it.

Being a contributor to the BoA scene, I hope that if a custom title is given to me, that it will be a nice or at least an aceptable one. :)

So ADoS gets his title removed, but I don't? Drakey hates me. :(

I hate you with love. :o

And *i gave ADoS the title, not me. I was away on vacation.

SMoE, who hasn't been around, got a custom title from *i by request, and it was actually one he wanted.

It's not my asking that prevents me, it's the fact that I'm the only one to frolick in postland, be the postmaster general, or be addressed as your postliness. Alas! Let this be a lesson: don't spam if you want a neat title. The best you can hope for is nothing. The worst you can hope for is "Canned."

—Alorael, who will point out for the benefit of the new that "Canned" is like spam, which is in a can. It is a pun or a play on words. Additionally, it's only one letter away from "Banned," which really makes you think.

It's very easy to have a large post count in a relatively small amount of time without getting Canned, but few know the secret.

It's called "replying to threads about posting".

Not exactly, I said "a large post count", and replying to threads about posting wouldn't even add 20 (usually).

You've managed six replies in this thread so far. Three more such threads and there's your 20.

Congrats, Spring. Slow down, now, I'm enjoying the exclusivity of the masked rank of Guru.

I don't really know where my particular title came from, only that it was given to me in a period of rampant retitling. It would be nice to see my Frolicking in Postland title when I get to that, but I wouldn't trade any custom title but CANNED for it.

(EDIT: Nothing important.)

I have always just remembered "Canned" as in "can it". Its just the way I think. And 'C' is only two letters away from 'B' on the keyboard. In the middle: "Vanned".

I'd put it as "one thousand slimy things" myself.

It was supposed to be One Thousand Thousand Slimy Things, but that was too long. :(

Hey, if my web page is pink and pretty, my title might as well be, too.

As in you want a title that could be described as "pink and pretty" or you want the title "pink and pretty"? Maybe for fun Drakey could give you "Purple and frightening"

I did, surprisingly enough. :/

No, actually the people were very nice, and the people I visited were pretty much all pretty conservative.

Us liberals tried to find you, but you were cloaked as tourists. We pretty much ignore them. I just finished touring Astoria with my gf's family, and as they have left will also return to my nominal duties on these boards.
