I mean, who does that drug stuff online anyway? I say just go to Canada to get your Viagra. And knowing Canada, it is probably better quality Viagra. :P
I fail to concur :P [/b][/quote]You've tried Canadian Viagra?

...for that matter, were you trying to concur, or just don't?

What does w00t mean?

And for the record, I have not tried Canadian Viagra. Or any other type of Viagra.

-08 isn't ben, as far as I know. Certainly not his main account.

That was just mind-boggling. I mean - %£%^"£^%^"£$%%£"&%$"*%$ just doesn't make much sense. And most spam filters filter out whole bunches of "String code" like that. But if they dot words into it...

Oh well, at least we think we have lotsa emails, even if we only have one proper one in our mailbox.

But it costs essentially no money, so if they get even one customer who actually buys the product out of, say, ten thousand e-mails, they make money out of it.

I think it would make sense, given his whole "ben4808" thing. Could be wrong though. Meh.

I think that Viagra is kind of unfair. Who ever asked them if they want 70 year old men walking around with boners for 5 hours? :P

Commercials around here always say "You can be ready for up to 36 hours!"

I'm sorry, but if I'm "ready" for longer than an hour (WITHOUT any action), something is wrong.

What kind of websites you visit anyway? I've never gotten any kind of emails similar to that.

It ain't that I don't visit those sorts of websites, but I don't have autofill selected, and my computer has a firewall to boot. I'm guessing that my email was picked up whenever I posted it somewhere.

Just to clarify, readiness is different from having an erection. Cialis is slightly more potent than Viagra and lasts longer, and it is popular among spam E-mails because the spammers want to prey on this common simple comparison.

I also wonder who responds seriously to these E-mails, though. I think most of them already have prescriptions for sexual enhancement drugs, but they constantly complain about high drug costs. Hence, the advertisements appeal to them. Does anyone else have another thought regarding this?

We wouldn't have all this crap if sending a mail cost, say, a cent a dozen. The only people it's really going to hit are people who sent out thousands of spam mails a day.

And mailing lists. And companies that send emails to entire departments or even to all employees. And various automated mailing services, such as forums that mail all replies in a thread to anyone who wants them.

—Alorael, who also thinks that spammers would find any possible loophole in the system, so it's not as though one could make a selective cost. Besides, free email would require credit cards! Can't have that!

The best solution is to make more mail applications that don't have such terrible spam filters. (In other, slightly related news, I haven't seem to have received any telemarketing calls lately.)

Sadly, this is the only spam I could find that wasn't HTML crap. I get about 100 to 150 spams a day, with maybe a few valid emails a week. The most common spam offers me a green card for a new life in America.

Luckily, my filters take out the vast majority of the junk.

You get those too? :D At one point I was really wondering about how many variations they could produce of a subject containing the word hurting, ("Your boyfriend is hurting", "How is my wife hurting", "Is my daughter hurting", etc.) The last mail of that particular series was a nicely rounded conclusion: "She is no longer hurting."

I've had dozens of those; by now, any mail that contains the words "pain", "appointment", "sale" or "software" lands in the trash if the receiver is not on my contact list.

So if you're going to send me a mail and want to be sure it arrives, just include my ICQ number (282026638) anywhere in the subject header, and it'll get through. :P
