How come a few of the cool UBB features have been diabled, like timezones and a "Last Post By" field in post list screens (ie General)? In most forums I can set my timezone as +10 and all the times look nice and real, I know it's a feature of UBB, why's it off? And the other, less-well explained feature... looks for example... Ambrosia. Shortened mercifully. See how the Last Post field lists the person that posted? Why not here? Just having a whine, Md. 1) We're running an antiquated version of UBBClassic. 2) Most of those cool features are hacks and modifications to the UBB code. Since I don't have FTP access and Mariann/Linda are reluctant to change things, we can't have them. -------------------- "At times discretion should be thrown aside, and with the foolish we should play the fool." - Menander ==== Drakefyre's Demesne - Vahnatai Did Do It desperance.net - We're Everywhere The Arena - God Will Sort The Dead ==== You can take my Mac when you pry my cold, dead fingers off the mouse! Some of us prefer Tokyo time regardless of our locations. —Alorael, who would suggest a group letter asking for altered UBB code or an updated board (Invision and IB are nice), but it's hopeless. Just learn to love or at least live with the lovely UBB here. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

I think Nazgul and I had a chess game going for a while, but it would take 24 hours for one move, because when I was awake to check my PMs and made my move, it'd still be half a day before he made a counter... -------------------- "And all should cry, Beware, Beware! It was sarcism. I also meant the West Coast of North America, but not particually California. More like the area where Spiderweb is, and thus the timezone they use. I though, would like you gone. You have been banned and should stay banned. -------------------- I am not really here. Posts: 956 | Registered: Wednesday, January 16 2002 08:00 |

"the west coast of Asia"? How'd you like to be called the Southern tip of Canada? -------------------- "And all should cry, Beware, Beware! His Flashing eyes, his Floating hair!" S. T.
