Call me what you will, I don't like Fooly Cooly. Give me good ol' Bebop or Trigun any day over FLCL. Rurouni Kenshin is pretty good, too. FLCL is confusing and pointless, kind of like Big O. IMHO, anyway. -------------------- "... and approximately one sea turtle." Posts: 277 | Registered: Tuesday, August 13 2002 07:00 |

Fools. I go away for three days and this is what happens. FlCL, Furi Kuri, or Fooly Cooly, is show about growing up, Gainax style. Its meaning is mutli fold, one being foolishly cool, the other being a Japanese sound effect for breast tweaking. This is the down side of the television of anime. N00bs who don't get Gainax. Gainax does coming of age anime with many differant takes. -------------------- I am not really here. Posts: 956 | Registered: Wednesday, January 16 2002 08:00 |

Oh come on, you old stiff. They don't actually show anything. (Although when you think about it, they sorta went out of their way to do so. Shinji's entire groin area is at least six inches below where it should be on a normal human.) -------------------- We're all amazed but not amused By all the things that you said you'd do. Regardless TM, it's really pushing the boundary of what's acceptable here, nor is it really necessary. Come on now. -------------------- A few cats short of a kitten pot pie... There is plenty of Weird anime out there. Like Excel Saga and Jungle wa Itsumo Hare Nochi Guu. I can't stand ES, but I like Guu. Posts: 19 | Registered: Tuesday, July 29 2003 07:00 |

Does it really matter? The difference between Hale and Hare is the difference between Kirara and Kilala. But yeah, Jungle wa Itsumo Hale Nochi Guu is friggin' hilarious. And it's free, unlicensed and subbed. Go get it. -------------------- We're all amazed but not amused By all the things that you said you'd do. FCLC... I look at this in a similar light as Seinfeld - it's an anime about nothing. It's the kind of anime no one understands because you're -not- supposed to understand it. Sure, there's some sort of background plot that ties everything together somehow, but that isn't really the point- it isn't meant to be one of these hardcore serious plot revolving animes and that's meant to be watched for a story. FCLC is meant to be watched because it's so weird, so utterly insane it's entertaining. ---Your Adult Swim watching maniac, Necris Omega -------------------- Sanity is a relative concept. I loved fooly cooly. It was confusing and not understandable. I like that in a show. It was also funny.
