Creation Armour in Geneforge 4: Rebellion

Can I arm a creation in G4?
Can I put something simple on it, like chitin armour?

I'm guessing no, but at the demo stage/beginning of the game, it has occurred to me that if I could just put something on my thahd it might not die right away all the time despite using up all of my essence.

So my vote for G5 would either be the ability to armour creations, a creation with special armour built in (that is easy to offend and thus lose, but that appears early in the game), or some kind of artifact that a creation can wear.

Just my two cents. What do y'all think about this?

Coming from the Exile series, I'm finding it hard to adjust to not equipping anything on the rest of my party.

Is this the whole point of creations, that they are the way they are and we're stuck with that?

Also, how on earth do they gain experience? I have tried using either one of my creations (or used Greenfang) exclusively to kill things and they doesn't seem to ever gain more than one of two points. What exactly causes them to gain experience and how do I achieve this?

(This creation armour question has probably been brought up in the G5 wishlist thread, or somewhere similar; but frankly I don't feel like going through all those pages looking for it to reply to it and have no one else find it and answer my reply...)

Thanks for any help you can offer.

I noticed this in the G3 demo. I think sometimes the creations get more difficult to kill when I reenter an area, so it is not just you; it is just you and me.

Green-Rebel.

Sorry that does not fit in to your poll.
Here in Canada I'm not sure if we even have a Republican party.

I'm not sure about the mods here, I'm rarely in here and I often lurk when I am here. Since I just started the demo for G4 I replied to your first questions with my preference from G3.

I'm not crazy about the first image in this thread, but no I can't figure out why.

I quite like the second one. Gender is not ambiguous in it, I knew right away.

Keep drawing and doing art, all three are better than what I could have done.

The third image looks an awful lot like an SCA drawing to me, maybe it is the helmet and baldric.

i have never had a problem with sw games either. for years. i'm downloading the demo again and then i will scan the hell out of the pc and prove there are no viruses FROM sw. hah. thanks for the reassurance that i am not crazy to be so sure it was not from sw.

thanks for your help, people. i am now downloading it again. it was just the demo, so i have not lost registration info... but argh nonetheless.
i think it is likely that the size bothered him, and also the suggestion that it had written files and made pathways or something is likely to have set him off about deleting it.
it is very unlikely that he opened it or tried to play it, but you never know. probably just ignorant and jealous that i was becoming addicted to a game rather than him.
after i download, i will scan the hell out of our ancient pc and prove to him it didn't download viruses, or lie if it did and delete them.
thanks again

great. i went away for a weekend and my bf erased my demo and my saves. he says there were viruses that got downloaded with it. how likely is this? perhaps he just wanted to ruin my fun? considering i am marginally more computer literate than he is, i think he is full of it. what do you guys think?

i have never ever had a problem with viruses from spidweb, has anyone? should i email them? is the bf nuts? is downloading it again a very baaad idea?

valley of the dying things:

i said the word and freed the dragon. where did it go? where is my reward? what should i go back and do or not do?
i had a worse problem with blades of exile, it wouldn't ask me for the word and i couldn't free the dragon... so i figured maybe it was a bug and i would try blades of avernum. i know i read a hint somewhere online about where to go to catch the dragon on its way out... now can't find it or the site.
argh!
please don't suggest the pdf, i can't fit adobe in my dinosaur computer, and i jumped so many hoops to fit blades of avernum in.
