A little, I dunno... Cartoony considering how the rest of the games looks? Meh, Regardless it's better than the crappy enlargement of the one from Avernum.

As to something new in the line of a creation/transportation.

What about a creation, either a fire or magic line creation, that provides it's shaper with transportation, either through sea, like the drayk ship in GF1, or some flying one.

Both mainly used to basically move to another zone (within reason) without actually getting there by walking (Meaning that the zone you end up at has no lines leading towards somewhere you've already been to) You'd have to limit it of course, and while letting the creation move around in the zone a little bit, not let it have much in the lines of health or attack power, considering how it's made as a form of transportation, not attack. I'm pretty sure it's been discussed before, but it's my thoughts on it.

Maybe even, perhaps, have those creations high end costing lots of essence, and used mainly to get to bonus zones for either lots of monsters to kill for experience, or a hard trap/bomb area to get through to get either a canister storage area, or for the purist canister haters (got nothing against yuns) some other form of stat-increasing, or even just a big plotline bonus or item, making the amount of difficulty to get to them equal to how good whatever the prize is.

And, just to throw it out there. Being able to plant and/or just grow your own thorns?

And if all else fails, you can always see a really cool graphical trick by hitting Alt+F4

One could always end up just trying to get themselves shaped stronger, and then just get... say... trapped, reduced in power and captured, or sold as a sex slave to serviles...

What about, Say... A device in some sect, that is supposed to shape you and give you ultimate power, something like the Geneforge... but when you use it, it shapes you into some wierd half/creation half/shaper thing and you get locked up as an experiement, and you then get the option of quiting and trying again on a previous save, or trying to escape from jail.

I mean... A half/human vlish thing that can shape? It scare the crap out of anything and be better at throwing spells, yet really really really easy to kill with a good melee hit.

There was a code to get that effect using Shift+D but... I can't rightfully remember what it was... I found it using Google to look for "Geneforge 3 Cheats" though... maybe you could find it through that possibly?

A Few Advance Notes On Geneforge 4 in Geneforge Series

Yay, From what I can read, I'm very enthusad about it. I agree with the Weather effects, regardless if they effect you or not, it's awesome. And yes, The graphics while not necessary and the Storyline and plot is so much more important, the graphics are still quite welcome.

I'm enthused.

Geneforge 4: "Not a Shaper" in Geneforge Series

A little off topic, maybe, but I quite enjoy the whole plot-line and philosophy of Geneforge. What with the whole Shapers creating the creations, then them gaining setinence and wanting freedom yet the shapers denying it of them. I hope this continues in some really awesome way in G4... Say what... no offense but I dont' remember your name said above, the Shapers go and try to take over the Sholai's, but say... a bit more underhanded threw manipulation, and the Rebels are a part of it trying to continue the war that the shapers are experiencing on thier mainland there, both trying to get more support from the Sholai. the main character, which will likely start off alone through disaster, or on a mission for someone high up in some society, sholai maybe to give more perspective on their views, and then go from there... somehow allowing the Main Character freedom to do on there own. Anyways... Regardless of the interface, I do hope that the plot will make-up for it, though a horrible interface would likely deter many from playing... but I doubt he'd screw it up that badly.

Geneforge 4: "Not a Shaper" in Geneforge Series

Where I was disappointed that GF3 only really had two factions and you had to join one of them in the end in a pretty "Black/white" kinda option. I enjoyed the game but, I liked the idea of joining multiple different factions and everyone wanting me to join thier cause, though at the same time, it was sortof... "You are a shaper, but you are different" etc... even if you were a loyal shaper I got into the Drayk camp in GF2 so... if your a loyal shaper, and everyone already knows it in that valley, it'd be nice for me to get shot on site the first time, not the second time entering. Anyways. I hope GF4 has a somewhat newish engine, and the shaper part of it and creating creations are still around. I enjoy creating a horde of minions to go out and do my evil deeds while I stood near the entrance commanding them from far away.

What is the best: GF1, GF2 or GF3? / What I must buy now? in Geneforge Series

GF1 is the best in my opinion, not really knowing what's going on and learning about the Canisters and the Geneforge and all. Had an ex-girlfriend that always kicked me each time I skipped ahead in a book or read a sequal before I read the first book. I quickly learnt the same went for games. Hence I always play the first game first, now out of habit more than fear of getting kicked.

I agree with most of the other people, It should have had more detail's from the book. S.P.E.W. Should have had some mention, As well as Winky I believe... not that i'm big on house elves and that, but it is part of the books and should have some form of mention. Sorta Disappointed about the Fleur and the Veela, Should have had some sort of mention I believe. Harry passing out and not going into the woods sorta ticked me off..

I mean, I can see -why- they've cut so many things out... but the way there doing things, alot of the intresting sub-plots are just being dumped on. And they should have, at least, Mentioned Weasly's Wizard Wheezes... But I have some feeling that, if it's mentioned, it'll be in the 5th movie near the beginning.

Speaking of Which... The 5th movie might very well suck considering the length of the book and them cutting out everything as they do...

But as long as they have the entirty of the Minstry Battle and a Decent amount of the D.A. I'll be happy. Mostly.

And Umbridge having a hard time with the Weasley's swamps would be good...

The serviles snouts wasn't that long in Geneforge 1 were they? Maybe they became shorter in that one due too misbreeding because of lack of shaper influence for 200 some odd years?

Hmm... Depressing but I figured. Was trying to find and intresting one and it hit me that Avernum would indeed make an intresting one. Oh well, I'll just replay one of them for my Avernum Fix then.

Thanks

I was wondering of there was an Avernum or Exile Muck, Mush or Mud out there that was decentally active... I couldn't find one through google and I figured this would be the best place to ask.

Thanks
