teh difficulty in Agents is they relly so heavily on their magic and essence for combat, and have only mediocre ranged combat skills with little to no melee combat skills (the way most people build them)that they end up trying to fight from the distacne a Shaper would, without the creations between them and the monsters. How I believe an agent SHOULD be played is as follows- split your skills you will use for combat almost evenly between physical and magic, put NOTIING into ranged weapons, your magic suffices for that. Go toe-to-toe with your opponents, blessing/hasting yourself(and maybe the one Ornk you made for fun). If fighting a number of monsters, still do this, but use magic to charm/scare some away, kill the weaker/ranged combatants, and whittle away at the strongest ones while using their minions as meatshields(as long as the weaker ones are still alive) Also, try to lure out enemies in the smallest groups you can by casting a few spells on them from a distance. Spells are not your main weapon, they are your backup, your armor, and your last resort. Combat spells should be used fairly sparingly, and then only against ranged enemies and/or large groups. Agents with low Hp are fine, they have Heal, Agents with no essence are dead. When you run out of essence, it normaly means you have gone into an area too strong for you to fight in melee, and now have no way to keep that cryodryak from biting your head off. -------------------- He who giggles for joy everytime he hears the talking skulls voice. I have used Croikles, and, in fact, edited it myself for my own uses, and have not found it to damage the game in any way. I have never used Zeviz', and can't tell you. Croikles is wonderfull though, user-friendly, newbie-friendly, and includes instructions for removing it, though I have no idea why you would ever want to. -------------------- He who giggles for joy everytime he hears the talking skulls voice. Hmm? How is it that you can't keep your creations close enough to you, or far enough behind that they end up dieing? Anyways, your creations WILL end up as meatshields somewhere around level 25-30, but then again, that is their main function, even for shapers at endgame(genralization, the cryodryaks and battle betas can fight there, but thats about it.) Sorry, i didn't notice yoru second question there tomster. By far the most vital stats for a Guardian are strength and dexterity, with melee weapons up to 10 a necessity, and quick action and anatomy falling in to tie for fourth, but at endgame, they overtake the dieing need for more melee skill. put about five points into missile at your convienance, and carry five to ten javelins for those times when you need to deal damage from a distance. But then again, thats what your fyora and artilla are for. Also, altough this stategy falls under the agents realm, try to lure out enemies one at a time, and you can effectivly eliminate your need for healing spells/spores/pods. Keep a few around, though. Also, you should never need to use a battle creation for actual battle, you yourself will always be superior to anything you can create for that purpose, unless you are going for a 'fake class' game, when you will already have mapped out your skill choices (at least partially) anyway, so. -------------------- He who giggles for joy everytime he hears the talking skulls voice. You only have to kill one. My personal favorite strategy is to place fire barriers lining the wall of the hall, anti-magic fields coupled with a few guardians, SLOWLY lure out the avians using weak summoned monsters, then when its only the lords and maybe two others, wait out your antimagic fields, and charge in. Then again, this uses massive amounts of MP. Also, jsut reitereating Turumby's comment, you only need to kill one lord, the others fly away instantly, along with most (I think i coutned it at 4/5) of the other avains in the castle(assuming you haven't already killed them) Charm is a great spell for this fight as well. -------------------- He who giggles for joy everytime he hears the talking skulls voice. welcome geepers. (for those who are wondering, i was fatcat a long time ago, and have returned to the holy land) The next step after beating full game, is to beat full game solo-celt-fighter, then solo-roman-mage. -------------------- He who giggles for joy everytime he hears the talking skulls voice. my personal experience with Guardians and creations- make one artilla and one fyora ASAP, and keep them alive. Other than that, just ignore them. Ocassionally a thadd to walk through mines is usefull. Guardians are melee fighters, and should only need creations to pick off weaklings on the sidelines, or to hit something you either can't get to or haven't reached yet. -------------------- He who giggles for joy everytime he hears the talking skulls voice.
