Being male or female is part of your genes; XX or XY chromosomes. Thus, you can't have the same DNA and be different genders.

As did Nalyd. You had a nice ender, too.

Nalyd is significantly less bitter now. He saw Munigant off to a proper death and afterlife, if you want to reread the post.

I, personally, have always liked your characters and your writing. I thought that Munigant, along with Seoth, have had an almost professional quality.
Thanks, but Nalyd doesn't agree.

The problem is Ahonar. He is, apparently, the most powerful being in existence currently, and completely impossible to work around. it was a mistake to give him godhood. All he would have to do is crush everyone's skull and take the damn Onion.

Nalyd is of the opinion that we should restart, with a few changes.

Backing away from the terrific display of power before him, Munigant slipped on one of the scraps of flesh from the beast, and fell backwards, breaking his neck on the wall and dying.

Nethergate. The semi-historical is very nice, and it has one if the better plots of these games. After Geneforge, of course. :P

Nalyd's added up to 350 to intelligence. And 1000 on a weapon, and 500 on armor.

Gah. **** it. This RP is too volatile, Nalyd's character, plot, and wording sucks, and it's moving too fast for him to post correctly. Nalyd quits. Anyone who wants Munigant can have him.

Gah. Well, let's just not post tomorrow- use that for PMing people so we can reach agreeable outcomes to this.

ET, Nalyd mentioned the beast. It's what killed the warrior. Hmm. You would like him to edit the post?

Hidden beneath his shadow-wall, Munigant heard the boom of Ahonar's voice as his protection was shredded into nothingness by the light generated. He drew his knife and slowly cut a long slash across his chest. Slightly energized, he sent small little tendrils of smoke from his "robe" snaking along the chamber of the Onion. Wrapping themselves unnoticeably around the unconscious body of Jeran and began to drag it out of the chamber. Several also gripped the ankles and shins of the armored warrior, dragging him to the floor and towards the beast, which instead of regrowing its old arms, had opted for tentacles that split into hundreds of hair-fine strands at the end. Strands that slipped into the warrior's armor and cannibalized his throat while holding his halberd-wielding arm down.

The tendrils began to snake to Vlad, but Munigant wrinkled his nose and drew those away. Too much beer, sex, and filth on that one. Human weaknesses.

From the shadows behind them, Munigant watched the main group enter the chamber of the Onion. Ironically, it was the chamber originally intended for its safekeeping, but the unexpected appearance of this mutated beast prevented them from protecting it. Grinning, he waved his hand over the only entrance. A seamless black wall of screaming, wailing souls flowed into view from the walls of the tunnel. Anything that passed through would release well over a score of death shades, bound to destroy life. Either the beast, or more likely the adventurers, would be destroyed, and the winner would have to contend with the barrier. He released an obsidian orb and turned his mind to it. He intended to have a say in this fight, as well as watch it.

Munigant sent out a mental call to all of the monks in the Chapel. "This is the Prophet Munigant. We are under attack by a large band of adventurers searching for the Onion. They entered through the main door and are traveling in groups of six. The god Ahonar in the guise of the Archmage Rahona is with one of the groups. Seal all of the holy artifacts and block the exits. I will hunt them down."

The sound of rustling robes and clattering sandals filled the hallways as the monks moved as one. Vocal and telepathic call rang sharply throughout the complex as Munigant tracked the slight emanations of pain that come with every movement coming from the usually deserted catacombs.

The first group he came across was ripped to pieces by stone tentacles stretching from the walls and floor. The second was immolated in great gouts of acidic gas. Tracking the third party was difficult, as only four members were left. Their heads were impaled from behind.

Coming upon the fourth, Munigant found Dazzle's pet humans.

"Greetings, allies. How have you fared against these invaders?"

Muningant's vision suddenly stopped spawning hallucinations. His hearing returned to normal levels, and his sense of touch started to return to areas other than his stomach. He could smell something other than rotting guts and ichorous blood. His eyes opened, revealing the voids within. He sat up, and explored his healed abdomen. Another scar, but what was one more?

Sitting up, his thoughts stopped wandering. His focus returned. The ever-peaceful and silent monks filed slowly out. His memories began to return. "Dazzle. . . was here. Is here. The Onion. . . taken. Yes, I have seen it. Others. . . wait." He mumbled things to this effect until he rose from the black blood-drenched bed and his cloak of smoky "fabric" returned.

Going to the chamber door, he paused and pulled the sacrificial dagger out of his thigh, where it had been wedged. Tucking it into his robe, he opened the door and greeted the lich in a weak hissing voice, paying no attention to the human near him.

"Dazzle, my old friend. Ever have you helped return my sorrow to Nalyd. Doubtless, you come for the Onion, yes?"

Keep in mind that a superpowerful mutant freak-thing currently has the Onion. That should warrant a good fight scene.
