How exactly does the searching thing go? I walked on every tile a few times and looked at everything a few times and still no message -------------------- People says Microsoft paid 14 million dollars for using the Rolling Stones song "Start me up" in their commercials. This is wrong. Microsoft paid 14 million dollars only for a part of the song. For instance, they didn't use the line "You'll make a grown man cry". I'm in the Snake Cult dungeon and I went down one of the pits, I destroyed the altar and freed the guy down there and then saved.. Thats where my problem comes from. I saved down there and theres no other way to leave then up the stairs, the problem is, there is 3 slith priests and they sure love to use Divine Fire - the bane of my Avernum 2 character's exsistance. How the heck am I suppost to get out if I keep getting all my HP blasted away every round? And then having the warriors tossing spears after.. Then on top of that, they'll do the mass mind control spell to my warriors or put my healers to sleep.. Divine Fire is pretty badly balanced.. How do I get out of this? -------------------- People says Microsoft paid 14 million dollars for using the Rolling Stones song "Start me up" in their commercials. This is wrong. I like all the quirky sounds, the battle sound (especially Avernum 1's OH nO CAVE LIZARDS) and the cough and the door opening noise, my favorite one is the biting one (the one that sounds like someone is eating chips). -------------------- People says Microsoft paid 14 million dollars for using the Rolling Stones song "Start me up" in their commercials. Thanks for all the tips, they have been very helpful! I've gotten up some levels and got better gear and take stuff easier, Eye Beasts are still a bear, though. Divine Fire HURTS. -------------------- People says Microsoft paid 14 million dollars for using the Rolling Stones song "Start me up" in their commercials. This is wrong. Thanks One more thing about the undead camp near Formello, how do I finish it off? I read something about some ability needed to destroy the altar, but I have no idea about it. I've cleaned the place out except for the nasty Baskilisk and Demon in those 2 rooms. -------------------- People says Microsoft paid 14 million dollars for using the Rolling Stones song "Start me up" in their commercials. Fallout 1 is the best game i've ever played, my favorite game and RPG (dont worry, the Avernum and GeneForge series tie together in 3rd, Arcanum is 2nd, heh.) Are the Jagged Alliance games on the Mac? If so, I recommend them very much. -------------------- People says Microsoft paid 14 million dollars for using the Rolling Stones song "Start me up" in their commercials. This is wrong. quote:You can do this to a degree in fantasy Steampunk games, where the new science and technology usually goes over the old religious beliefs of the past, while the past tries to fight back against the new stuff. Dwarves usually end up a mixture of the two, they have a religion, but their theology is scientific and technological like. -------------------- People says Microsoft paid 14 million dollars for using the Rolling Stones song "Start me up" in their commercials. Personally, there are a few settings I think would be really really cool to see: Norse Mythology Steampunk Post-Apocalypse I would of said Cyberpunk, but I read in an interview one that Mr.Vogel doesnt like to do such Sci-Fi settings due to how hard it is to balance everything (like laser guns). Post-Apocalypse and Steampunk do have guns (usually) but are easily balanced due to P-A has limited amounts of ammo/guns/etc and most you find are damaged or broken, Steampunk has early and/or simple guns, and ammo can be hard to find at times, also you can go the route of Fantasy Steampunk (Steampunk with fantasy stuff, like the game Arcanum) and add in magic as a balancer too. Norse Mythology would be real cool to see because there arnt really any good Norse Mythology games, doubly so for RPGs. Also, hello everyone.
