Emperor Steward ruled 130 years before VoDT. The closing of the school would have been part of the Empire's crackdown on mages, bringing them all under more direct control. This was before the time in which the Exile/Avernum games are set. Hawthorne III ruled during Exile/Avernum I, and Hawthorne II before him. Smite was a pike in A1 and A2. I'm not sure about A3. I'm not that far yet. As for the shield mace, I can't find it on the item list. While that doesn't mean it's nonexistent, it means it may not be there. Or it might be renamed. You can add axes and maces with custom items in BoA. I'm assuming maces would be melee weapons. However, if you want them you'll have to add them yourself. I don't think Jeff will put them in. Hopefully he'll increase the item limit though. You can only add so many custom items, and each weapon type usually has 5 or more types. With maybe a few dozen extra slots, it adds up very quickly. But if you simply must have axes, the Lourve should have graphics. If they don't, you might get away with the BoE axe graphics. I'm not sure, though. Spells. I want to see more spells. Old spells, new spells, unique spells, wierd spells, field spells. mindduel, barriers, quickfire, area effect spells, drain spells, debuff spells...
