I remember completing this a while ago but what I can't remember is how to pass the portal puzzle in the spine and how to get into the main part of the troglodyte cave.

It'd also be nice to know where to find the Bean Pet monkey and walrus.

The sheep is in the Archives in Keptus. You get the pass to access the Archives from the Traveler in Brigston, who appears there every three days or so.
