I have a tenative idea that would make temporary creations a more viable option. I'm not sure how many people have thought of this, so please tell me if you like the idea. In G4 there are many enemies and some allies that can shape during combat. What would it be like if you could shape during combat, but only charged/unstable creations? That would make charged creations worth something or at least more interesting. You know what would also help? If they didn't cost up to 3 times as much as regular creations while being generally less useful. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

Retlaw has a point. If charged creations could be made in combat and acted as friendly NPCs rather than party members they would be far more useful than they are now. —Alorael, who also thinks it would help with the horde shaper style. It's nice to be accompanied by a half dozen creations, but it would be even nicer to be able to make a dozen more during especially tough fights. It probably wouldn't be balanced at all, but it would be nice. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

Make them weaker, but the same. They should definitely be able to be Shaped during combat. Someone might actually use them then. But they should still count as party members, and be controlled by you. Don't make them weaker if they count as party members. That would make them too weak. Posts: 626 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

Copyrighted idea of RetlawMay. :D -------------------- "After I'm dead I'd rather have people ask why I have no monument than why I have one." - Cato the Elder (234-149 BC) "The mind, if it exists, is nothing but an unfortunate after effect of the brain process." -Kripke "One should die proudly when it is no longer possible to live proudly." -Friedich Nietzche Posts: 333 | Registered: Saturday, May 20 2006 07:00 |

Weaker as in one or two levels lower at start. Ooh, new idea. Be able to Shape creations with no skills at all, including the two automatic intelligence, during combat. -------------------- May the fires of Undeath burn in your soul, and consume it. I would make 70% to 90% of their cost take up spell points. Posts: 227 | Registered: Thursday, January 24 2002 08:00 |

No, that's way too cheap. Maybe 20-30%, at most. -------------------- May the fires of Undeath burn in your soul, and consume it. Posts: 1636 | Registered: Wednesday, January 5 2005 08:00 |

30-40 sounds fair to me. 70-90 is way too much though. Posts: 626 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

I think that this would be a good adition to G5. :) -------------------- "After I'm dead I'd rather have people ask why I have no monument than why I have one." - Cato the Elder (234-149 BC) "The mind, if it exists, is nothing but an unfortunate after effect of the brain process." -Kripke "One should die proudly when it is no longer possible to live proudly." -Friedich Nietzche Posts: 333 | Registered: Saturday, May 20 2006 07:00 |
