I did use the map, and I used it precisely because I had wandered so much in earlier games: because the geography had changed so much.

Sorry, my comment was addresesd to LakiRa@, who shall henceforth be LR. He asked which part of the icon mattered after you said you didn't remember, so I pointed out that you had no answer and told him to find his own.

For what it's worth, this has been discussed, and Jeff is bringing it back for A5.

Actually, I knew this from the screenshots on Spiderweb's site. I was just mentioning that I missed it. (And I wasn't around when it must have been discussed, so I couldn't have known about that.)

Obviosly I am not good with maps. But it doesen't really matter since I played A4 3 times I know every corner of it so I can't really get lost.

I just wanted to check is map really accurate like Yama Toman said.

On the human usefulness topic, I used humans through A2, A3 and A4 quite efficiently for pure caster characters. Why? Because the slith bonuses aren't helpful at all for a character that's standing in the rear. Nephil gymnastics and bows in A4 can be nice, sure, but I prefer to get more XP and SP to put in spell skills and intelligence.

after beating the game im giving my oppinion:

I think last boss and the shades were too easy and i miss the multiple options like the anama thing in A3. Also the are no hidden doors. I think it was small game compared to others avernum series.

Besides that i think its a great game. The job boards, and game interface are definitely good. And the story was pretty cool too.
