Avernum 4 install problems

Error message

I have the newest version of Avernum 4. I tried to install it on pc running windows 2000. it installed but when i tried to run it said my screen wasnt the right resolution.
my screen is already in 16 bit 800x600. i made sure. i have downloaded and intalled avernum 4 numerous times but the problem still persists.
plz help!

It needs to be 16-bit 1024x768, not 800x600.

I know. It is a bit irritating though that the Windows version of A4 gives you an option to change your resolution to 800x600.
