If you are a shaper, Do you level up quicker if you have a Cryoa fighting with you or 2 Thahds with you?

Avernum 4 install problems in Tech Support

I have the newest version of Avernum 4. I tried to install it on pc running windows 2000. it installed but when i tried to run it said my screen wasnt the right resolution.
my screen is already in 16 bit 800x600. i made sure. i have downloaded and intalled avernum 4 numerous times but the problem still persists.
plz help!
