I felt a compulsive need to say this so don't ask. My idea of Heaven is waking up at 4 A.M. cranking the Queen as high as it'll go and Playing Avernum 1. Posts: 41 | Registered: Friday, May 11 2007 07:00 |

I have to admit that at first I wasn't into Avernum. But having not been satisfied with the state of RPG gaming for many years, I figure I would give it a try. Very much satisfied. How many hours is Avernum I? Posts: 9 | Registered: Wednesday, April 4 2007 07:00 |

A lot. I go very slow, and I must've put close to a hundred hours into it. Of course, such times vary wildly. -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens. Smoo: Get ready to face the walls! Nalyd has beaten most Spidweb games. He is a compulsive to-the-death player of Geneforge, though. -------------------- May the fires of Undeath burn in your soul, and consume it. Posts: 1636 | Registered: Wednesday, January 5 2005 08:00 |

Oh the irony... And I have beaten A1-4, and G1-3 (4 is almost finished). -------------------- I can transform into almost anything, though not sanity. Muffins n' Hell. Note that revisions of the first part is down the list. quote: Posts: 1799 | Registered: Sunday, February 4 2007 08:00 |

quote:Elder Scrolls III and IV were amazing. Truly gaming has been taken to the next level with those two games. You must not have played them, otherwise I don't think you'd feel the way you do. Why don't you start by saying something interesting that people want to respond to? -------------------- Arancaytar: Every time you ask people to compare TM and Kel, you endanger the poor, fluffy kittens. Why the hell would Jeff want people to search for cheats? Most of the Character Editor isn't accessible until they have already payed Jeff, so why should he care? For those of us who can actually beat the games without cheats, we almost always elect to play the games right. The occasional bugs where a special item is not given, or a player is trapped behind a wall, or any one of a million other things. -------------------- May the fires of Undeath burn in your soul, and consume it. The biggest emergency is that the party is stuck with no way out and no recent save. I had a party saved and then when I came back the boat was gone leaving me with no way to move. It helps when you don't want to pile up items because you are near the money cap. Then you can just add back in what you would have gotten. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |
