Just wondering how many members here have actually got the registered version of BoA. This poll has been moved to another forum. -------------------- "You dare Trifle with Avernum?" ~ Erika the Archmage -------------------- My Scenarios: Undead Valley : A small Undead problem, what could possibly go wrong? -------------------- Richard Black - PROOF of his existance (the Infernal one's website). -------------------- MY FORUM! Nah, I just cracked the source code open and made the game think it's been registered. Wanna know how? E-mail me at BAD TGM!!!! Hey - you wouldn't compain if it didn't cost you for Spiderweb games. I mean, it's all very well to support them, but you can't always afford to spend the cash. Spiderweb software is the only shareware company I support. I believe they make and sell software the right way. I don't support any other shareware companies. Spiderweb -deserves- the money, as they make outstanding games. I'm rather disappointed to see people crack BoA, with all the effort that went into it. It's not much to ask. Look at TGM's message icon and the address. Also notice that to crack the source, you must have it and not a compiled version which would have to be disassembled. Now, Micael has been fouled into asking hex-editing info and a request for crack. Look at the CoC to see why. I wonder how many people will choose Registered Version and Hate it. How did TGM get his hands on the source? (No, I am not asking for the source.) Methinks he just worded it badly. The message icon sheds no light on the subject and the fact that he provided a bogus email does not mean the post contents is false. There was a guy who posted a topic on how to do it in this forum...but the topic was erased within 15min. UA even posted in that topic. [ Monday, June 14, 2004 14:11: Message edited by: RC ] -------------------- Austrian Alex Posts: 1307 | Registered: Tuesday, May 7 2002 07:00 |

By the fact that Schro edited only the email which lead to goatse and not the entire message itself, I take it that even the mods do not take it seriously. Honestly people, don't be so gullible. For one thing, it's tGM, and for another the post in itself is a little ridiculous. :P -------------------- Dragyn Bob "Abandon all hope, ye who enter here!"-The Divine Comedy Posts: 1481 | Registered: Thursday, September 27 2001 07:00 |

quote:I posted there mentioning this stuff wasn't allowed. IIRC I'd already registered BoA then, so I'd have no reason to want to ..participate.. in such things. DB: I am the most gullible people in the world. I mean, I even knew it was TGM before you pointed it out, and I still believed it. There are some suggestions that are in very bad taste even if they're intended as frivolous humor. Pirating software from from a great shareware firm is one such topic. And my apologies for threatening medieval-style execution. Something more modern and humane, such as the guillotine, would've be more appropriate. ;) Posts: 907 | Registered: Monday, July 15 2002 07:00 |

You call a guillotine more modern? Why don't you try strapping me to the back of a cannon, or let Napoleon chop me to pieces. Thats nearly newer! Slow motion is quite modern. Don't back down from your first method of execution! When someone asks to die the death, it is the death that they should die in whatever form provides the most entertainment to the audience. —Alorael, who supposes that particular idea is a throwback to the Romans. Okay, it's not modern in one sense. Just keep in mind that many people still watch football! Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

Well, deciding to be on topic, I would like to say I registered BoA. Unfortunately, I registered BoE about two weeks before BoA came out, expecting it to come out around July time. So now I'm 50 dollars down. -------------------- And when you want to Live How do you start? Where do you go? Who do you need to know? Posts: 2864 | Registered: Monday, September 8 2003 07:00 |

Yeah, BoA did come out a lot earlier than I thought it would, but I got it about a week after it came out. If you had BoE you shoul have done the discount - $10 off! I have BoE, but I didn't claim for the discount. Spidweb's effort into their games is well worth the money. -------------------- Apparently still annoying. Posts: 612 | Registered: Saturday, October 13 2001 07:00 |
