So far I've A) Rubbed out all the markings and died. B) Got down far enough to be swarmed by thousands of shades that a two-hour auto-combat did not clear. You need to play this scenario with either the included party, or a character that has no stats, not even the ones a brand new character has. Otherwise it would be tedious indeed to finish. There is a way to survive rubbing out the chalk drawings; use the chalk.
