Question- How much will we be able to control beam abilities and attacks? What if I want a ghoul to have one claw be dripping poison and the other do icy damage but not have the poison, would this be possible to do? Could one customize the odds of each attack hitting, so that the ghoul has a 99% chance of hitting with the poisoned claw, and a 1% chance of hitting with the icy one? And would I be able to make a badass poison wizard that has a beam that dumps poison, acid, and disease on the party on one shot? I mean, that would be pretty cool. (And also, will there be a node/function that can place acid on the party?) -------------------- * Posts: 6936 | Registered: Tuesday, September 18 2001 07:00 |

Presumably, if the scripting system is as powerful as it sounds, it can do all that and more Posts: 316 | Registered: Saturday, May 25 2002 07:00 |

I really, really doubt that you'll be able to do any of that, except I do think that there should be a node to place acid. But you WOULD be able to alternate the the types of damage (as in first attack does acid, second does icy), correct? -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! Posts: 1582 | Registered: Wednesday, November 13 2002 08:00 |

There already were nodes for different types of damage in BoE (except for acid... ), and I don't think BoA is going to be *less* flexible than BoE. It would defeat the idea of it being basically a BoE clone with a much improved engine, if the BoA engine couldn't do the stuff possible with BoE. -------------------- Encyclopaedia • Archives • Members • RSS [Topic / Forum] • Blog • Polaris • NaNoWriMo Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair.
